The restaurant in the hotel where we ate breakfat found my phone rigjt after Keith shut it down.  Fortunately my brain said it was the logical place for the phone to have fallen out of my picket And I went in person to ask about it. They would have called if the could have used it.  Instead the had to take it to lost and found.

Until later.

I think my biggest problem with Daniels was that he refused to be nominated in the Featured Category for 1776 - and so his ego cost him a Tony......and as the years went by, he could have been introduced as Tony Winner William Daniels....

It didn't seem to bother Tom Bosley who won featured actor for a TITLE role.

I think Daniels' problem was that Ron Holgate, who won the Tony for playing Richard Henry Lee, was also nominated in the same category. Daniels really should have been nominated as best actor.  Several years later, Rita Moreno won best supporting actress for THE RITZ, and she  should have been up for best actress.  As she said in her acceptance speech, all I support in this show are my earrings.

And I am home from a real surprise party.  There were twelve of us and it was three hours of fun. I am very tired and I'm heading for bed.

Loved Daniels on St. Elsewhere. Wish I could have seen him as Frederick in A Little Night Music after he replaced Len Cariou. It's a role that I think he's perfect for.

Filled out all the direct deposit stuff and will fax it in the morning.  That way if the second check doesn't show up they can direct deposit and at least I'll get it by next Thursday.  I was promised a call back from the post office - second time no one did.  Tomorrow, they get an earful.

Final seven days of the campaign and we will do whatever it takes to fund the damn thing to its full potential.  Do we have any Broadway window card lovers here?  Because I've got a few goodies:

Shine It On and The Act - the two wonderful posters for The Act - the old title and the new and with new credits for the folks who were let go between these two posters. They're wonderful and I think they'd go as a pair. Suggest a price - if I like it I'll put it up and you can go right there and buy it.
Amadeus - original run and signed by Ian McKelland and Tim Curry.
On the Town - Donna McKechnie, Bernadette Peters revival
Applause Lauren Bacall
The Apple Tree - original production
Pacific Overtures original
Rags Original

The shunt they placed in his liver duct had to be replaced.  Hopefully he can go home again tomorrow.

I had the giant taco salad.  Not as much beef as they used to use, but still good.
