Monday morning greetings!  I managed to sleep 7.5 hours in our bed last night with not too much coughing.  Still not 100%, but I'm beginning to feel better.  Guess I needed that antibiotic after all!

A week or so ago, a co-worker in the office brought up the approaching "spring forward" event.  Someone commented that it was to be the first Sunday in March.

I took that to heart, didn't look it up...and Saturday evening changed ALL my clocks.

Imagine my surprise Sunday morning when I learned we don't spring forward until NEXT Sunday.

Sigh.

I saw yesterday some people mentioned that their PBS stations were having pledge breaks. Did they interrupt Downton Abbey?  Mine went thru from 9pm till around 10:40pm and then had the pledge stuff all at the end.

The weather is supposed to be more mild this week. Imagine my dismay to see snow this morning. Falling hard. Winter please end now. Thank you.

KQED in San Francisco was, indeed, doing pledge breaks, but they did not interrupt the finale to "Downton Abbey"..

Nor did WKRP WCET in Cincinnati

Good morning, all.

Just finished watching the last of Downton Abbey. I agree with you, Kate. Fine ending to the series.

My boss told me this morning that he laughed through the episode and his wife cried. I can see both.

In his autobiography, Unfaithful Music and Disappearing Ink, Elvis Costello devotes a large chunk of his stories to his love of Bacharach's music and what it was like working with him.

We are at the dentist office getting our crowns put on.  I refused a shot for the short period it took to drill off the temp.  It hurt but once the work stopped so did the pain, unlike the actual shot.

Silly me thinking the painful part was over.  I have had worse though and it is over.  The big question is will the sensitivity ever go away and will I be able to eat on the tooth.

Interesting that Peyton Manning is retiring today - a couple of weeks after the scandal about his sexist college behavior started being told again....that and a few other family "deals" and behaviors.

Each station does their own thing their own way.  You're lucky that all the pledge stuff was at the end.  I've never seen that happen from the Seattle PBS station.  I've never watched "Downton Abbey," so I don't know how the Seattle PBS station did their showing.
