DR TCB, sorry Sandy didn't get a better prognosis.  He, and you, will remain in my prayers.

This weather is just bizarre.  A year ago we were in our third or fourth month of a cold and snowy winter with one huge storm after another, and all during March I was coping with one snowfall after another in commuting to and from "She Loves Me" half an hour down the road.  You never knew if the next rehearsal or performance would be cancelled.  Now it's April, a month early, and we've been a month ahead, weather wise, for the past several weeks.  Yesterday and today every window is open, and the furnace hasn't been on for nearly two days.  This is unheard of.

The last two shows I gave up on:
Once Upon A Time - it was becoming an advertisement for the Disney film versions of fairy tales
Grimm - I loved it, and then I suddenly stopped caring

Ditto!

Me, too!!!

"Once Upon A Time" hit all the wrong notes when, suddenly, "Elsa" from "Frozen" popped up.  It had been hit-or-miss prior to that by at least a season.  (The Neverland season and "The Pan" bored the crap out of me).  I decided to drop it since traditional stories began being interwoven with more recent Disney concoctions.

As for "Grimm", what a mess that show became from such a promising start.  Absolute nonsense.  I did enjoy some of the lead performers, but even they became peripheral as newer elements and characters started being dropped in.

Get well soon, Singdaw, TCB, Jeanne and all else in need.

I have had more than 150 kidney stones, so I feel your pain, TCB.

Hi, everyone. Just grabbing a quick moment to stop by and let you know that I am still alive. And to apologize to you all for being so very, very errant and truant. I've just been very busy. And sick. Sick! And taking care of our rescue pup. Who ate my homework. In any case, sorry.

I had hoped to catch up on every single post and notes before I came back, but at this rate it's just not going to happen. So I'm jumping back in and will have to catch up as best I can. But I love you all and have missed your daily updates. Apologies also for any birthday greetings I may have failed to offer.

See you 'round the living room!

I've missed you!

I need to call Joshie and confirm tomorrow's reading at 11:00, then confirm the place where I last got my glasses is still on my HMO plan.

Tomorrow's rehearsal is 11:00-6:00, Joshie is in good spirits, and my eye appointment is Monday at 10:30.

I've been up the ladder to pull some libretti, including the pre-production libretto of SHOW BOAT and several Victor Herbert scripts. Carton 3 is in progress.

I need a nap!

I'm quite sure you meant to type "pissy."  That, I can do.      :)

We've had only one contribution this morning - that brought us within forty dollars of covering the fees.  Last thirteen hours.

GET TV has been showing episodes of THE THIN MAN with Peter and Phyllis.  It really is an awfully dreary show....I know when I was ten, it was on at 4 p.m. every day.  I don't know if it was a syndication opening or not, but they were in a car with the headlights illuminating the credits....now they are walking the dog down the street....

And they live in an apartment instead of the brownstone with the floating stair case that I remember....maybe I've only seen season two episodes.....
