Is the Vermont Country Store catalogue the one that is like a paperback book?

Not the ones I've seen; they're just typical catalogs. I've never asked to be on the mailing list, but they arrive just the same. They offer all sorts of items you thought were no longer being made, but either they still are or someone has a huge warehouse of these old things. That said, I'm glad that some of these things are still available.

Chocolate Easter Bunny Ears.

But where's the rest of it? I imagine scores of beheaded chocolate bunnies somewhere. Can you get a discount on the discarded bunny bodies?

I understand Ms Murin's frustration, but I hope she doesn't think this rampant bad behavior is limited to the theatre world. Online posts--at least on many sites--are subject to attack. I don't usually post anywhere but here, largely for that reason.

Then I was confusing them with someone else.  I'm sure I received the catalog when we lived in New England.

Does DR Kevin have to give up an hour of his vacation in Germany? I think not.

Vixdad and I have been invited to a wedding  the invitation specified black tie.  Much as I hate to admit it I have never been to a black tie affair.  I know it means Vixdad must rent a tux...but what is appropriate for me?

I'm with you.  When I had to drive the children at night, with my night blindness I loved daylight savings and wished it was all year.

Now I just want the back and forth to stop.  Pick one and leave it alone.

You can also get a long black skirt and wear it with a dressy top.  That way you can mix and match the clothes for more practical wear later on.  Vixdad can rent a tux, or a black tie ;)

I couldn't find any photos as examples.  Everything was for young figures.  I did find this.

Dressy Separates
It's now acceptable to wear dressy evening separates, such as blouse and skirt or a jacket and palazzo pants, to a black-tie event. As you would with a dress or gown, choose separates made of luxurious fabrics such as silk in well-fitting, flowing shapes. You'll create a formal outfit wearing a knee-length A-line skirt with a festive print and beaded silk blouse, or flowing silk palazzo pants and a textured jacket or sequined bolero with jeweled buttons over a silk blouse.

How to Accessorize
In addition to luxe fabrics, accessories can help a black or monochromatic ensemble look dressier. Jewelry dresses up an outfit, so try a statement necklace, cuff or chandelier earrings with a solid-colored dress or gown. If your skirt or dress is short, eye-catching shoes, such as a pair of jeweled pumps, help to make it more festive. The evening bag or clutch is also a integral part of a black-tie ensemble. If your outfit is basic, try a bejeweled, sequined or metallic clutch for added shine.

I'll be doing an entire notes about this, but:

You know, I have a really good memory about my past, from childhood on. When I wrote my first memoir, I pretty much got it all right - with a little help from friends on certain timelines. But I went into storage last week and was just ridding myself of years and years of crap, and I found a box with all my Day Runners (remember those) from 1971 to 1985 when SAG stopped making them. I've been looking through them. What a different time it was. I sometimes had five interviews a day - there was always something - but so far I have not found anything huge that I didn't put in the book - a couple wrong dates, certainly (wish I'd had these out when I was writing it), but no head-slappers until just now when I read that I actually screen tested for the movie of The Sunshine Boys! I have NO memory of this at all. I remember reading for it and thinking Neil didn't like me, but I guess he liked me enough that I tested. I'm gobsmacked. But holy moley on rye, the things I read for - my favorite was "read for George Lucas" - I think you can figure out what that was - and not only was George in the room reading people, his pal Brian da Palma was there, listening, because he was about to cast Carrie. I'm up through 1976.

I wonder if all you Facebook converts have liked and look at the page I created for the LA show.  I know Jane hasn't - why is that?  The page is called L.A. Now and Then, and every day I post a classic LA photo there - I'd suggest finding us and liking us immediately.  To not do so is simply unseemly.

I don't think that's correct - perhaps your settings are askew.  I have liked many pages, none of which have access to my friends.

I am home from a wonderful afternoon at the theatre. Since it hasn't opened yet, I will not review BRIGHT STAR. Set in Appalachian North Carolina, its territory is close to my father's roots, and it shifts between 1923, the year my mother was born, and 1946, the year in which I was born

I will only say that it's enormous heart and yearning moved me to tears several times, and its sly humor and whimsical observations on heartbreak and home amused me no end. Let me praise my friends Jeff Blumenkrantz, Stephen Bogardus, Patrick Cummings, and Bill Youmans and the rest of a stunning cast and ensemble, and praise Rob Berman for the high quality of musical performance. It's an absolutely glorious show. I cannot wait to see it again.

I don't think I've liked a new show this much since ONCE, which I could have seen over and over.

Steve Martin's Roxanne had enormous heart, too. That's one reason I'm so interested in this piece.
