Sunday morning greetings! Fr. Richard went to Lima today, but I'm home. Not because I'm coughing (which I am), but because there are some things to do around the house before he has a clergy gathering here Tuesday and I will have no time tomorrow. So today I'll bake a coffee cake and clean up the living/dining room and tomorrow I'll visit my cardiologist in the morning and the pulmonologist in the afternoon.

I also have my DayTimers from about the time Rob was born and scattered pocket calendars from prior years. For more recent nostalgia, I often look at my posts here on HHW when trying to remember holiday or vacation details.

I'm surprised no one else mentioned it. Even Spacey himself said it was the role of a lifetime. I liked "Beyond the Sea" too. It's too bad they didn't do it when he was a bit younger. It is shocking how much he looks like Bobby Darin. I had the privilege of seeing Kevin Spacey sing in a concert he did to promote the movie. He has a very nice voice and concert was very enjoyable.
"Seven" was just disgusting.

I have little pocket calendars from about the last twenty years, and they are amazingly valuable in keeping recent nostalgia in order. I can only wish I'd preserved things like that from earlier lives.

I'm back from my last time at Das Phantom der Oper. There was a different Christine and I enjoyed her performance better than the other actress. I said my goodbyes to Brent. He's off to the Netherlands for a day or two.

Every blueberry season I freeze tons of berries to eat the rest of the year and they are off limits to Keith. This year, I didn't eat nearly as many as normal and still have loads left.

Thanks, Larry! The play is called Seven Ways to Get There, and it's written by Bryan Willis and Dwayne Clark, who are local. I don't know Dwayne, but I've known Bryan for quite a while and he's a very good writer and a hell of a nice guy. He was at the audition yesterday.

Speed, speed reading the book last night, which I still didn't finish until this morning, I didn't get much sleep again.

This morning I looked at the clock and was pleased to have slept until 7:45, then I remembered the time change. I rolled over and went back to sleep for another hour.

I didn't hate it. I was just very disappointed in it, and with soooo many books to read my tolerance
isn't what it used to be.

I skipped to the end, which I do sometimes to determine if I want to continue the journey. I rolled my eyes, dropped my expectations, and then super sped read through the parts I wasn't interested in. There were still bits in the story to read to get me to the end.

Then there is that darn book challenge. I felt to claim the book I needed to read more

I have claimed books when I have marked a few DNF figuring they equaled out.

Joshie has reported today on Facebook that his brother Jeremy made a successful Broadway debut in the pit of Fiddler on the Roof this afternoon. I could say nothing yesterday, but he could not go to see Bright Star with me because their parents came in from Vermont to surprise Jeremy amd catch the performance.
