The friend who works with me hosting the outside groups that meet at the church suggested we offer to set up this year, since the young woman is busy with a newborn this year.

That was very nice of you.  Sounds like a lot of work, but also sounds very tasty

I'm also happy that my lilies look ok. They were up about 3-4 inches when they were buried by 14 inches of snow. I thought maybe they were goners

I'm glad you found a new cat sitter.

Well, she hasn't done it yet, but at least it's someone I'm comfortable with, and her references regarding cat sitting are great

But thanks, so am I.  I've only spent a total of about 5 nights away from home in the past 3 or 4 years and only one night at a time.  It will be different to actually travel somewhere again

Well, good evening, George anyway.  Although he is probably too busy to know I am here.

It has been another night of March Madness (basketball-wise).

The food was good, except for the sausage, which was maple flavored.  I don't care for sweet sausage.

Good evening. I spent the day cooking various things. The young lady who is always in charge of the Easter breakfast at church gave birth a couple weeks ago, so she really didn't do any organizing this year. There were only a few dishes coming in, so I fixed stuff I thought would fill in the blank spaces.

slacker!  Give her a copy of The Good Earth!

I fixed a french toast casserole that has no meat so my daughter will have something to eat; I made biscuits and sausage gravy; I made three flavors of yogurt (the only way I can get my daughter to eat yogurt - no gelatin); I squeezed a lot of oranges for juice. I will put some steel-cut oats in the crockpot before I go to bed tonight for the people who insist on eating healthy on holidays.

That sounds wonderful!

Not that I don't like the movie, but I have, yet, to figure out what it has to do with Easter.

He was kind enough to share the recipe. I always get compliments when I make them. And. Always make extraS for me!!!

What I love about good deviled eggs is that they also make really good egg salad sandwiches. :D

Reall, I have never made a sandwich with them.  After all that work I like them as I made them ;).

Don't get me wrong, I would eat them as deviled eggs, too, but if but you're just not in the mood for a side dish and there are any left over, they can be cut up and put on bread (or some other edible holder) and be turned into a main food item ;D

If you make Skips recipe there won't be any left over

I bought it on Wednesday evening from Amazon.  And it was listed as available for Prime, but delivery is not until Monday.

Not exactly two day delivery, but maybe Amazon counts Good Friday as a holiday.

Tomorrow I am assisting minister and the Vixter is a communion assistant.  It's a wonderful counterpoint to the Good Service.
