What a long day at work! I got a lot done and yet there were stretches of nothingness that seemed to drag on forever. I even read three chapters of my Hardy novel on my phone version of Kindle. I may actually finish that book after all.

I've gotten to the Chatanooga Choo-Choo track, which is just ridiculously wonderful. In the movie, the Nicholas Brothers and Dorothy Dandridge have a rollicking dance routine to it, but it was one of those standalone bits that could be conveniently cut out for Southern audiences, who, at the time, didn't want to see people of color on the screen. I think it's the best part of the film visually. I'd rather cut some of Sonia Henie's mugging.

If you ask places will let you take them, at least the eye doctor's smaller practices.  I don't wear my hair the same way so I like to bring them home and try them with my hair various ways.  Some of the glass frames I tried were a bit colorful and I wanted to be sure they went with everything.  Mostly I think I really wasn't crazy about them, and I want Keith to like them to since he looks at me wearing them more than I look at myself ;D

I got my glasses at Costco so they would definitely not let you take them home to try. You should bring Keith with you to choose the frames. I would never go alone to choose frames.  There were only maybe 30 pairs that had the clip-on sun glasses i wanted. So to me it only took like 15 minutes for me to choose. But i could tell easily which ones i liked. It was funny while i was sitting waiting I was watching other ladies try on different glasses. I wanted to scream at them because it was obvious to me that some of the choices were bad. You should take pics with the different choices and let us vote. :)

I take selfies with the glasses on and text them to a friend who helps me narrow them down.

I have finally finished Thomas Hardy's "The Well-Beloved." Rubbish. Twaddle. A half-baked idea not well executed. Easy to see why it's forgotten by most and not well regarded by some Hardy disciples.

That was a very large selection of magnetic clip-on glasses.  I know because I have spent years looking for a new pair that I liked.  Funny that I have finally found one I might decide not to buy it.

Keith doesn't want to go with me if he doesn't need to.  I have found I like taking them home.  Doing so from Costco would be a pain.  I will go back tomorrow with the frame, order them and have a nice walk home :)

That's great, Tom!  Hope you both enjoy your lunch together.
