Good morning, all!  I slept well, and I'm having lots of dreams I no longer remember.  I blame the pain meds.

I have little to report.  Some of my morning will be spent tidying the apartment and vacuuming, then I will work on the Moross score.

Good morning, all.

Coffee and recliner, with a cat on the lap.

That's my day so far.

Once I get my arse moving, some keyboard programming followed by another visit to City of River.

Then on Thursday, one final visit to said vacation spot before a week off prior to tech week.

The programming is not for that, thank the goddesses.  I must say it's relaxing as all hell to play a good old piano and celeste book for a change.

On childhood trips to the theme parks, my parents would never let me visit BKland, insisting it would be too traumatic for a youngster.

This weekend I'm off to Proctors in Schenectady, Empire State, USA, for a friend's birthday celebration that includes a visit to The Lion King on tour.  That should be a most enjoyable getaway, as I haven't seen the show since the late '90s, Proctors is a beautiful theater, downtown Schenectady is fun to wander around in.

When I was working with the now-defunct New York State Theatre Institute (NYSTI), their tour of A Tale of Cinderella played Proctor's before playing Staten Island and Manhattan.  It's a lovely theatre.  That was my only trip to Schenectady/

That must have been great there.  And I really like that Cinderella after only seeing and hearing it on DVD/CD a couple of times so far.

DR JANE my mother is doing well....she just returned from her second treatment.  She is tired, but that is to be expected.

We had two "stars" decline to be in the ensemble....which is okay.  Other directors around here keep casting this one guy in LEADING roles because he is a good singer, but he can't act and is very heavy.....so he thinks he's a star.  Once he leaves school, he is in a local college where he plays roles as well....he will find the market is small for actors of his size to play LEADS....even if he could act.

The girl just played the lead in GREASE at the local high school....it was a LONG night.

One girl hasn't responded to the email even though she was offered the role of one of the sisters.  Come on, People!  Let us know!

Back in the day when I lived in upstate New York, I used to cover Proctor's Theater. Great space. Saw some fantastic shows there, great stars.
