While looking for that picture, I came across this article:  NYTimes: Barbra Streisand Taking On Role Of Rose In “Gypsy” With Tom Hanks!

This article is dated January 5, 2011.

And now, it's time for me to leave work.  I may not necessarily go right home, but I'm not sticking around here.

Until later.

We get to page 3, and nobody is here but me?

No, you're not alone, Ron!

What are you listening to, Ginny?

Just finished Hissing Cousins: The Untold Story of Eleanor Roosevelt and Alice Roosevelt Longworth by Marc Peyser and Timothy Dwyer.

Sounds like fun.

Now I'm on to Among the Mad, #6 in Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs series.  It's narrated by Orlagh Cassidy, one of my favorite audiobook readers.

I didn't realize you weren't farther along in the series.  I am 3rd in my library queue for her 12th, and current, novel.

DR Jane, I read the first 5 pretty close together and got a little burned out on the series.  Now I'm ready to pick it back up and realized when I started listening that it's very well-written.

DR Jennifer, can you feel your phone vibrate when it is in your purse?

I didn't mean that you would be able to hear it vibrate in a purse, you won't. I just meant that i would never put it in my pocket. I don't even know that you would feel it in a fanny pack.  I guess if you are in a loud place just check for missed calls every 10 minutes.

I got burnt out on it, too, after four or five. Maybe I'll go back. But I have to make sure I do it in order.

Watching Eddie Cantor in Roman Scandals. Busby Berkeley is insanely wonderful in this picture. There are naked chorus girls with massive blonde wigs chained to walls (one of the chorus girls is Lucille Ball in her first picture) and the music has all these whip sounds whiles other women slaves gyrate until they can't stand anymore. Ugly men leer at them. One falls to her death. And all to Harry Warren music.

The singer is Ruth Etting, the woman Doris Day played in Love Me or Leave Me.

I try not to read too many books in a series at once, unless there is a cliffhanger that really grabs me.

I did check for Keith's call after 15 minutes.  That seems like a long time when you are driving around looking for someone.  I will have to see if I can return the phone or find something that I can wear it on my waist :(
