DR Ginny,  now that I have begun reading My Antonia I  cannot imagine a woman narrating it.

I know, right?  George Guidall was perfect.

Stupid.  I'm glad you found Guidall.  So far I'm enjoying it and am glad I switched books.

My Antonia is a book that I look both to read and to listen to. Big Willa Cather fan.

I haven't read anything by her.  My Antonia keeps popping up the list list of book one must read.  Many of those books I have read that are on the list are not ones I would have chosen for it, many are.  So far I like her writing style very much.

I think I would start with O, Pioneers!

The River Parade went off without a hitch. The rain stayed away. Good stuff and it was nice. Fun set of floats. We sat and ate and drank and talked. I'll probably pay for it tomorrow by sneezing all day.

Iam stuck.  I am locked out of AOl, I forgot the password.  I can't get AOL to reset it, because I don't have a cell phone here at sea that they can send me a text message to reset it.

Do you have it written down anywhere when you get home?  If not just try really hard to remember it.

No, but I have my cell phone at home so that they can send me a text message to reset it.

Okay i mis-understood. I thought you meant that you would have to make a new email account, not just get a new password.

Yes, that is sad. But you do have the pictures to remember him by.

I don't know that I've ever seen any childhood photos from my dad. I don't know if any exist.

It was very nice of the rain to skip the party.

I've been awake and irritated fpor the past hour.  Nothing will calm this leg pain except the Tylenol with codeine, so I finally broke down and took a tablet about 15 minutes ago.

I'm also still boiling mad over the LoC situation and the cavalier attitude of the staff over this McGlinn situation.  if this were a Sondheim, Bernstein, or Tunick mess, I know one librarian there who'd be seriously concerned. Who gives a damn about three 1917 Kern shows?

I've also had a rather frightening situation involving smelling fire that's put me into a state.

Was there a fire or did it only smell like one?

I don't really need one, but LG was having a deal to get a free battery and charger case if you bought the LG G5 before the end of the month, and I fell for it.

The main reason I liked it is because it has an easily removable battery, so you can have one charged up and as soon as the one in the phone is out of power, you can just switch them.

My current (and nearly 10 year old) flip-phone also has a removable battery, which I really like.

It looks like it'll end up costing around $40 a month more, but there are other features that are nice...
