I went to bed early, and at 12:30 I was still wide awake. Then the leg pains began, and God alone knows when I fell asleep.  Around 6:15 I reset the alarm for 7:00 and tried to sleep.  I hope i am not a zombie at Columbia and that I actually accomplish some work.

That Alexander the Great film sounds like a trip.  I'll have to get that one.  I have the other one here waiting for a good watching, which will be my first time, too.

And that's interesting about the Beverly Hills Music Hall.  I saw very few movies there, too, and don't know why.  I even lived right in the area for a while and don't remember going there much if at all.  No idea.

Oy! The John McGlinn madness with the Library of Congress continues and it's working my last nerve.

In just the past year, the films of Jacques Rivette have rapidly shot to the top tier of my list.  They are "art films", make no mistake, and not everyone's cup of tea.  While usually witty and upbeat, they're long and can be hard to commit to and follow.  For films shot in Paris, they're essential.

Philadelphia is peripheral. The Library appears to be the problem today.
