I look super duper in my new coif!

It's an idle day.  I need watercress, so there may be a market trip after the mail arrives.

I hate, hate, hate the mispronunciation of the word "mischievous".

I keep hearing folks say it as "miss-CHEE'-vee-us".   No such thing.  It's a THREE-syllable word.

It's "MISS'-chuh-vuss".

Oh my, thank you for correcting me.

Thursday morning greetings!  I'll be E & T this afternoon and evening, so thought I'd better spend some time here before leaving for my pulmonologist appointment about 1:30.  When that's over, I'll come home and jump from my car to Richard's and pick up Emilie.  We'll then proceed to Cathy's to pick her up along with Betty and Carolyn who are meeting us there.  We'll all head for the Oakwood Club in Dayton to join Lynne, Jan, Katie, Maurita, and maybe Sharon for dinner.  Then, we'll ALL go to Jan's for our book club discussion of Bee Wilson's Consider the Fork: A History of How We Cook and Eat.

Enjoy your busy day and good vibes at the pulmonologist.  It seems like a strange book to read for a discussion ;D

Yes, this book choice came out of nowhere.  I've kind of skipped around because I'm not nearly as interested in cooking as I used to be.

Even if I was still as interested in cooking as I used to be, it sounds a bit boring for a discussion or to read it at all ;)

Exactly DR AMY - that's why I chose it.

Speaking of WHAT'S NEW PUSSYCAT? - I always liked Woody Allen's description of his job:

"I work at the Folies Bergere.....I help get the girls into their costumes and clean up their dressing room."

"What's the pay?"

"Twenty five francs a week."

"That's not very much."

"That's all I can afford to pay them."

Oh, Jane...I never heard you pronounce it.

But...FWIW...you're welcome and don't mind my rant.  I know people pronounce words they way they've heard them pronounced most of their lives.

Sigh.

DR Jane, the book isn't as boring as the title makes it sound.  It's quite anecdotal and I like her writing.  I'll let you know how the discussion goes.

I'm glad the book isn't boring :)

I miss my book group but haven't joined a new one.

He has been in and out of the news due to medical problems.  It is a shame he did not go to the emergency room instead of working.

I'm up, I'm up - very noisy this morning and now, of course, completely quiet - seven hours of sleep.

Since some were asking, several of you have Indiegogo perks that are complete - the helper has e-mailed those who inquired - so if you want Jane Eyre, those people will have to order it.

Our guide told us that Bermuda has more golf courses per capita, and more churches.

He showed us a few of the golf courses, but I believe he showed us every church on the island.

I was so tired, and my leg was so cramped from the close quarters in the van, that I didn't even bother to do any shopping.

So, I will be leaving Bermuda without an official pair of shorts, or even an onion.
