Well, I need to be going.  I'm ushering tonight for a local ballet version of "Cinderella."  The group that's putting it on is a good troupe, but I'm not particularly a fan of ballet.  Oh, well.  The Center needed volunteers.  But I'm bringing my Kindle, just in case I don't need to stay in the theater. ;)

Be back later.

You don't look old for your age.  Does Ken look exceptionally young?

No.  And he has salt and pepper hair that makes him look older.

I don't know why then.  You certainly don't act old :)

DR TCB, here's my young friend Eric's site:
http://www.ericdietzmusic.com

That reminds me, this woman that Ken and I met several times, ran into Ken at the all-night cafe.  Ken is not quite ten years younger than me.   She asked him if he was enjoying traveling with his father!

I was asked if I wanted a senior discount when I was about 45, I think.

I hope you took the discount and then punched the person.

Tuesdays is senior discount day at Chuck's Produce.  The woman that checked us out asked if we wanted the discount.  We were not insulted, but then we are old ;D

I told Keith about it and he thought so too.  Next time we take a cruise we are going to be watching for submarines ;)

Back from a pretty good designer run-through.  We ran most of the show prior to doing it, too.  Watching it again was interesting - act one is just right and consistently running fifty-four minutes, which is perfect.  Act two started out at an hour and five minutes and without cutting a thing it's now down to an hour.  But watching it I made the decision to try something slightly different on Monday - cutting a short two-part Now and Then skit and moving the Vilanch sketch where that was.  It solves a few problems - a) a cut and will probably bring us down to fifty-eight minutes.  b) a better flow, I think.  The unknown is going from a very long sequence (monologues with a song weaving in and out) about the gay experience, which ends with a huge choral anthem, right into the show's final song about the Sunset Strip.  I never thought that would work, but I'm coming around to the idea now.  The Vilanch sketch was between them but that just hasn't been feeling right.

I saw them three years ago, so I didn't bother.

I guess you weren't impressed with them the first time around.

I saw they from a hovercraft that crossed the channel 39 years ago. Still remember how beautiful they were. Even if saw no bluebirds.

Which is why I would have gone to the top of the ship to see them again, even if I was unimpressed the first time.

When I type on my phone, I turn into Vixmom.

I'm back from ushering and eating.  It turns out that the dancer who danced the role of Prince Charming is the son of friends of mine!  I'm sure he doesn't know me.  I last did shows with his parents probably 15 years ago.  He was very good, as was the production.

I fell asleep for an hour and then watched a movie on Netflix - had to just step away from everything for a couple of hours.

Tomorrow, I'm working concessions for the same show.  I have to be there by 11:30 am, but when working concessions we get to leave after intermission.  Then, I'm going to my sister's house because our parents are coming over, too.
