I'll take a deck chair, even with a blanket, over a lounge chair by the pool any day.

Me, too. I was doing just that on one cruise, when I got into a discussion with the fellow seated next to me. He taught the sociology of religion. Quite interesting.

It sounds interesting.

I think it's strange that there's been nothing on the Broadway websites about his casting.

It's on his website so that's why I figured it was okay to talk about it.

Well, that would be great!  Alaska Airlines has a non-stop flight from Seattle to National (aka Reagan) airport.

I don't know if anyone's interested, but I found this 2012 BBC Proms broadcast of "The Lusty Month of May," conducted by John Wilson, and it's the complete Broadway number, including all of Trude Rittman's dance arrangement, which I heard when I saw the show around 1962, but which I never thought I'd ever hear again.

I asked Trude why the dance music had so many meter changes - 2/2, 6/4, 2/2. 3/4 - and she told me: choreographer Hanya Holm could never count.

Thank you, DR Elmore - that's exactly what I needed after visiting Mom.  It's so depressing...

Sunday afternoon greetings!  Richard and I went to a church he likes in downtown Dayton, followed by coffee at Starbucks and lunch at First Watch.  I'm home, have changed my clothes, and I'm trying to talk myself into visiting Mom.

I remember when you used to enjoy spending time with your mother :(

Ken and I spent several hours on the Walking Street and then had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe.

It sounds like a nice day.

Then Ken's diabetes started acting up and my scooter started to fade so we headed back to the hotel.

How long will a fully charged scooter last?

I don't really know.  I just try to keep track of the number of green lights on the dial.  When they start to go out, I know I need to start heading back to my charger.

How's the weather in Copenhagen?

It was a beautiful sunny day.  Apparently the first really nice day of the season.

Good timing :)

I'm back.  I had Progresso Lentil Soup over brown rice and broccoli on the side.  Fascinating, I know.

I think the cobblestones used up the energy faster today than smooth surfaces normally do.

The weather forecast is on TV right now.  It's 58 degrees right now.  More rain tonight.   Upper seventies tomorrow.  Back to the 60's for a few days.  Rain off and on all week.

Do you mean for the plug-in?  I had to buy a Danish adapter

Visiting me would depress you even more.  I cannot wait for this retrograde to g away.  This month of May is going to suck big time.
