Not that I plan on reading on my little phone, but it too has both libraries on the OverDrive app.  I guess I will have to remove the OverDrive app on my tablet and put it back in.

The recital sounds wonderful-sorry the hateful woman was there.

I haven't worked at Barnes and Noble in 11 years and she still makes my blood boil.  Her modus operandi was to come in and belittle the clerks, I think to build her self-image. The manager detested her.  The clerks ran whenever she hobbled in. A nasty piece of work.

The recital was wonderful!

The backyard this spring.

Very nice, John.  I wish my little backyard looked that good...but I never really wanted a yard at all, so it doesn't look that good. ::)

;D

You'll notice, George, that I didn't show you the rest of the yard. ;)

While I was at City Center, Joshie asked me if i wanted to join him and his brother Jeremy at an afternoon recital by their violin teacher Suzy Perlman. I said yes, since I like her very much.  She and pianist David Robison were quite a team and the music was wonderful.  the only drawback was that the horrid Norma, the nasty old woman every clerk hates at Barnes & Noble, is in charge of the events at the Jewish Center. She suffers from the arrogance and rudeness from knowing that when she dies the word "c**t" will be removed from the language.

God, i detest her.  Whenever i see her hobbling on the street it's a struggle not to throw her under a bus.

Don't pussyfoot around, Elmore. How do you really feel?

My late friend Jan Ford, whose father built bridges and buildings for a living, went to college to get her engineering degree in the 1950's.  I forget which college she attended.

The first day she was there, she asked where the engineering building was.....everyone she asked told her she must be mistaken, and they gave her directions to home economics building.....finally in frustration, she told them she needed to find the building because she had a message for her brother who was studying there.

She did get her degree and had a fine career....at the time of her too soon demise, she was the director of career services for Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana.

I still miss her.

We are having meetings and character discussions at rehearsal tonight - being taught all about the time period of the show and customs of the time.

I think some members of the ensemble will be surprised that there were no cell phones during the Civil War.

Back home -- from a surprisingly grueling six hours (which is usually nothing for me) on the Pennsylvania portion of I-80.

Let no one tell you that spring/summer road repairs and construction aren't in full force in the Commonwealth.  If they do, they are spreading a serious untruth.

It is the 82nd street store and if someone pushes her under a bus, i would laugh myself silly. Or steals one of her two canes.  she looks like a spider.

The reviews for Encores! are trickling in.  Ben Brantley gave it a wonderful NY TIMES review.

Back from taping the radio show, which was fun, and then a sandwich and no fries.

I doubt it.  There is no longer a Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization to pay for one.

Where the hell is everyone?  I watched on VHS a British T&A comedy from the 1970s, "The Bawdy Adventures of Tom jones," with Nicky Henson as Tom.  It was truly dreadful.
