Grease was rather uneventful - boring actually.  But I had fun playing it again.  Once was definitely enough - not sure I could have played a whole run.  Actually, I get really bored playing long runs, and sometimes even short runs.  I guess I'm getting old.

Correction on the "Harper Valley PTA" song.  The song in my head was "Echo Valley 2-6809" by the Partridge Family.  I can see how they can get mixed up.  Well... sorta

I'm back from market, and I've got a few things to do before Eric shows up.

I had no idea she had recently escaped from France before filming this.

DR George, I did not orchestrate The Golden Apple, just edited the vocal score and did some cleanup work on the original Jerome Moross-Hershy Kay orchestrations to get the 1977 changes Moross demanded into the original parts. It's mostly Hershy's orchestration since Moross was rewriting the entire final scene for Broadway.

Ahh...thanks for the clarification.

Such good choices from all of the Dear Readers......I especially applaud DR FJL's
HARPER VALLEY PTA.

I love that song...and it's been years since I've seen it, but I loved the move, too!  (And I liked the short-lived TV series.)

I wonder if it holds up after all these years.

Great review!!

I am going to rehearsal early so that I can start taking head shots for the slide show that plays in the lobby .... I hope that I get at least HALF of the photos I need.  Of course, I also want a SHORT bio as well.....

Fingers crossed.

We watched three 30-minute episodes of MIRANDA, which may be my favorite BBC comedy, and Eric left he;s working a musical visual reality series for your phone.  no capisco!

it was a nice visit, and now i am pondering dinner.

So am I, and the cupboard is nearly bare.  If I can't scrounge something, I'll have to go out.

I'm glad I don't have to work there, period.

But they have moved to a temporary facility that will become the library's "operations center" when the remodeled building opens.  It's a pretty cool historic building that's on the path of the old Miami-Erie Canal.
