Tomorrow is the memorial service for my friend, Barbara, with whom I used to work at the newspaper. She would bake cakes for everyone's birthday, so someone had the nice idea that we should make cakes for after the service.

Dad seems to have enjoyed his first day at home, though he's a little confused about his medicine. I think Mom's going to have to take that over until the home health nurse starts. And I don't know when that is.
