I so wish the weather would get nice

Amen to that.

And nice for more than one day at a time, please.  It just refuses to stay.  But it looks like early/mid next week we're going to see a change.

I wish my parent's had taken us camping.  They did send us to overnight camp that did overnight camping.  My favorite one had the option, which I did, to horse back ride there and back. I remember my counselor had taken a little pillow and kindly let me use it until I fell asleep.

In the early days of our marriage we purchased a tent with our best friend.  While fun when we went we didn't go all that often,.  We lent it to friends who fed the little critters which in turn ate a hole in the tent.  We never replaced it.

I really am not a fan of sleeping on a lumpy cold ground and having to trek in the cold to the bathroom.

I wonder how the new paid volunteers at DR LAURA's church are doing?  Or if they are doing anything at all?

Wonder how many times the alarm has rung in the middle of the night?

Well, it turns out that we oversold a couple of tickets.

What happened is that someone stopped here on Thursday and wrote a check for two tickets for tonight's show.  I took the check and wrote down her name.

However, I forgot to add her name to our on-line ticketing site.

We otherwise sold out all 39 seats on-line, which means no extra seats!

However, we found out that one person who has a comp ticket isn't coming and one other person who has a comp doesn't mind giving up her seat, so it looks like we're actually covered!

I literally just got a text from someone who bought a couple of tickets and can't come, so we now have room for everyone!

I know...especially when I screwed up and didn't keep track of the extra tickets. :-\

When I was reading DR John G's remarks in last night's posts I thought once again how I could not be a food critic. I don't doubt that he derives much pleasure from these exotic meals, but I could just not do it. Then I saw DR George's post, which summed up my feelings quite graphically.   ;D

I won't write about what was served today! ;)

Spent most of the day overseeing three wine seminars and sneaking bites of food that would make Jeanne and George queasy.

P.B.F.A.  (Potential Brain Fart Alert)

Did we know about this?  Perhaps more to the point, did I know about it, and forget?

Now I'm trying to chill out to Brooklyn. I'm glad I read the book, but I don't think it's necessary at all. And Saoirse Ronan is as incredible as BK let on. It's an amazing performance.

One thing I will pass along foodwise that was quite incredible. Friends who are chefs bought an ice cream parlor, so I stopped by. They weren't in, but I had a small bowl of Frutti di Bosco (berries) and something called Bill Berry. It was the berries. And I about licked the cup.

When do you have time to work the box office?

It's just the half hour before the show starts, so there's nothing else that I would be doing.
