DR RLP - since 1949, the race has been blacked out in the Indy area.....it was broadcast in other towns.....I don't know if it was 100 or 200 miles outside the area.

Channel Six, WFBM, now WRTV, will broadcast it this year, live.  It has been on delay and broadcast on the night of the race n recent years.

I've sent the 2nd edit notes on the GUYS & DOLLS overture to Jason.  it's amazing what you find you missed once the huge debris is cleaned up.

I'm up - woke up at 12:45 due to not falling asleep until about three-thirty.  So a bit over nine hours of sleep.  I have taken my Nexium pill on an empty stomach that will remain empty until supping at six.

Dear BK:   I'm thinking Diet Coke is not a solution to your reflux angst.  I'm thinking it's something that contributes to it.

This makes sense. Also maybe eating your big meal late in the day can't be great for your body. Hope you find a solution.

Overheard at the hairdresser:

Richard, master colorist, is advising a twenty-something stylist on some of the finer points of hair color.

Richard: Have you ever heard of Sherlock Holmes?

Young stylist: No.

Richard: You've never heard of Sherlock Holmes?

Young stylist: No, but I've heard people say, "Eat sh*t, Sherlock."

Richard: Not the same thing.

Young stylist: Stick to things from my generation.

I thought it best not to say anything, BUT...SHERLOCK, the BBC TV show, and very popular at that, IS part of today's world. Aaaarrrrrrggghhhhhh!

The first year after the paralysis was one fall after another for me.  I credit my experience with stage falls for keeping me from breaking any bones.  That and a lot of those patented HHW vibes.

I remember those falls, but it hadn't occurred to me that your stage training came into the picture. We could all benefit from such training as we get older!

Bruce, I hope your heartburn stays away. You now, at least, know what to do for it.

I don't think the solution has anything to do with when I eat, or even what I eat, unless it's late at night.  I don't think it has anything to do with having one Diet Coke a day.  I'm not sure what it has to do with - I can go months without any problems at all, MONTHS - of eating anything I like whenever I like.  This happens infrequently but it's really annoying when it does.  Usually upping my water intake helps immediately, and certainly these little pills seem to be helping.

I am always saddened when the PBS season is over. I'll miss CALL THE MIDWIFE, GRANTCHESTER, and MR SELFRIDGE. I usually use the summer months to catch up on shows I missed, some of which were popular before my birth.

Any suggestions for good TV shows from the last five or so years? (Don't care for futuristic stuff.)

The esophagus can--and does--get scratched from time to time, which will make you particularly prone to that horrible burning feeling if your stomach acids, which are needed to digest your food, back up at all. That could explain the very intermittent nature of your problem. Two issues: (1) heal the esophagus, and (2) don't get too acid.

Drinking water dilutes the acid. If you do have heartburn again, immediately drink water.

Miranda Hart, whom I dearly miss on CALL THE MIDWIFE, had her own show called MIRANDA.  It ran from 2009-20015.  Have you watched it?  We haven't but I am curious about it.

I heard this over and over again and how some people totally got rid of their reflux problem by drinking lots of water.  It didn't help at all and I kept gagging.

I was having reflux problems several years ago and it turned out to be lactose intolerance.

Wednesday morning greetings!  Just got off the phone with my sister, who could use some vibes this morning.  She fell on the golf course yesterday and planted her face on the cart path.  Nothing broken and no concussion, thank goodness, but she has abrasions and 2 black eyes.  Her left eye is swollen shut.

~~~Additional Vibes for Ginny's Sister!!~~~
Thank you, DRs George and KevinH, for the vibes for my sister.  Her daughter posted a photo on Facebook that's a lot clearer than the one Nancy emailed me this morning - Yikes!
Really?  I don't think they feel the same at all.  Keith started buying lactose milk since his reflux problem.  Maybe he agree with you-lol
