Our flight has been delayed which will likely cause us to miss our connection.  If that happen we won't be home until the wee hours of the morning, and we are expecting the window people early.......groan

A great and sad tribute to bookstores in the notes.

Well, I will be pretty scarce today.  I must get ready for my first dress rehearsal tonight, and schlep the equipment up to the theater in the woods.

Maybe tomorrow or the next day I can get some photographic evidence.  They don't really have any decent pictures of the venue; at least not that I've seen.

With all this fluctuation in weather, I'm not going to know how to dress from one day to the next.  Might be getting out the long johns some of these evenings.

I have to get my sketches on song fragments, party music, etc., assembled into the written score.  That's the first order of business this morning.

First, more coffee!

And a couple of these ho hum peanut butter cookies.

Edit:  Because they're ho hum, I feel it's my duty to get rid of them as soon as possible.

So sad about the closing of Mystery and Imagination Bookstore.

Malcolm and Christine are such nice people.  I had several book signings there.

In fact, when we moved to Austin 7+ years ago (Has it been that long?), they came to our Los Angeles house twice and we gave them about half of my books; ones that we were not going to take with us.  There were so many that they had to make two trips.

I stayed up too late reading the Gower Champion biography of several years ago.

Hello One and All.....the latest edition of The Broadway Radio Show is now up for your listening pleasure.....it's our wrap-up of the 2015/2016 Broadway Season and Tony Awards Preview.  Yes, the Tony Awards are upon us once again -- they will be on CBS this coming Sunday, June 12th.  On the radio show, we listen to all the new and revival musicals that opened this past season (well, at least to the ones that have cast recordings) -- from Amazing Grace to Tuck Everlasting.....the hits like Hamilton, Waitress and School of Rock to the flops like Allegiance and American Psycho and the revivals of The Color Purple, Fiddler on the Roof and She Loves Me (a real treat since the cast recording isn't out quite yet -- don't ask me how I got my hands on an early copy of it, but it's an amazing recording!)......Enjoy the Show!!!

I am devastated and heartbroken, BK, about Mystery & Imagination.  The end of an era indeed.  LA's landscape just became poorer with the loss of that great bookshop.  I'm so glad I paid Malcolm and Christine a visit on my last foray through LA in April.  Little did I know it would be my last.   And of course, it will always be significant as the place where we two like minds met and forged our friendship.  My name is on that author wall somewhere.

I sadly remember all those bookshops up and down Hollywood Blvd. and elsewhere that have disappeared.  Life has changed; not for the better.

Tuesday morning greetings!  It's gloriously cool in SW Ohio today, with clear skies and low humidity.  The windows are open and the house breathes!
