Don't like doctors and for food poisoning I don't need one.  I hate food poisoning and the amusing thing is I suspected something was wrong with the damn nachos and yet I kept eating the damn things.

So sorry to hear about TCB's great nephew's horrible accident.

Vibes to all involved.

DR JEANNE - I have a portable air conditioner.  The vent is hooked via what looks like the flexible tube used in a dryer vent.  It fits right in my window.  I'm sorry you don't have a window or opening that would work....because it cools my entire room very nicely - even on the low setting.

Could you post a photo of yours or something like it? None of the pics I've seen show it actually installed.

My "obvious" window currently holds a window AC unit, but it just doesn't cut the mustard, so to speak.

Jesus Christ, I am so sick of the aggressive HAMILTON hype.  Every time you turn around or pass gas, there's another interview, another "isn't this great?" piece, or "look! a new HAMILTON piece of published nonsense," and I'm tired of it. Enough is enough, dammit.  The show's won every possible award, the greedy producers are using all this hype to justify an $800 ticket and I'm sick of all the crap.

I pretty much agree with you...just not as strongly. ;) Granted, I'm not in NYC and in the middle of it all.  I liked the CD, but it's not a "must see" for me.  If it ever comes to Olympia, I'll certainly want to usher for it, but I'm sure that that won't happen for many years.

Right now, I'm watching listening to a YouTube video, the full-length (1 hour 47 minutes 51 seconds) Tribute to Burt Bacharach & Hal David.

Before that, I listened to the Jerome Moross soundtrack to The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

I don't know from Hamilton.  I saw a clip and didn't care for it.  I'm sure it's good and all, but I've had enough of the endless marketing.

I'm now at that point again where I'm both nauseous and starving.  I can't eat, though.  We'll see how I feel after the show.

I love this score.

What about a small plain cracker.  That often helps me.

If I had a plain small cracker I might do it.  I'll just tough it out till after the show and see how I feel.

Vibes you make it through the show ok.  Not eating is probably the safest thing for now.

Well, I must be off to the theater.  Tonight's the official opening night!  I don't know how many tickets are sold, but I don't think we'll have a tiny crowd. :)

Be back later!

The temp tomorrow will be 98 but heat index is 108.  I have to say that the humid heat seems much worse than the "dry" heat when I lived in AZ.  Of course I'm not used to it anymore so that may be part of it

I went out just as the sun was going down and did a tiny bit of yard work. Just watered some flowers with a watering can and did a little weed pulling - for maybe 5 minutes.  I was soaked with sweat.  Yuck!
