I'm becoming more fascinated by the minute with Bright Star.

Way back in the day, during World War II, Lady in the Dark featured a woman magazine editor who was good at her job, but she gives it up to be a wife.

In this show, set right after the war, the woman magazine editor is good at her job and she gets the man of her dreams, but she doesn't have to give up the job. It's not even a question.

I saw the Best Actress and actor in a musical winners, and then turned off the TV. HAMILTON has it, and I don't give a damn. Nothing of the footage I saw tonight makes me want to see it, and so, I don't care.

There was a funny bit about Danny, and others, you would get a kick out of it

Well, with Hamilton expected to win everything, there's not much reason to watch.

I thought they did a great job giving time to all the musicals to perform.  Much better than in past years

They just had four men from BRIGHT STAR sing "Heart" from DAMN YANKEES.  Jeff Blumenkrantz is in BRIGHT STAR now, he was one of the four, and he was also in the revival of DAMN YANKEES.  That's pretty cool.

Was that outside?  The outside numbers aren't from the show of the people singing.  Not sure that made sense

I agree TCB, I keep thinking of Orlando too. I actually switched back and forth between the Tonys and news coverage

That's correct.  They had casts of current shows perform outside for people on the street, but they sang songs fom other shows, not their own.
