Ann Morgan Guilbert has died. Loved her on The Dick van Dyke Show and The Nanny:

My answering machoine, which has to be at least 10 years old, has died.  I'm deciding how to handle this.

Jeanne, the audio was recorded on our final Saturday, both shows.  As it turns out, without adding anything it's 89 minutes so we'll just have what we have.

I am sorry to hear the news about Bright Star.

Wouldn't you know?

Watching the Tony's on Sunday, it was the one number from a show that I really liked.  In fact, I'm planning to pick up the CD this week.

 :(

I was thinking of ordering the CD too.

Although my doctor says I will not get the full benefit of the injection for a couple of days, I think I will find it exactly what was needed.  The pains are already much less than they were, and I slept quite well last night.

Great news!

I was out in the heat pouring wine at a fundraiser. It went on for close to four hours. But people were pleased with what we had to pour.

Also got to go around and eat a lot of stuff that many of the people at this site wouldn't eat, all of it good.

I think my favorite was a watermelon-blueberry soup (and since I knew the chef, he added a little gin to the mix, making it truly delicious).

There is no remission possible, but the cancer has been slowed by the chemo.

And the doctor thought a trip to Vegas would be a good thing for Sandy.

Finished off Cop Rock. One of the stars, Anne Bobby, was on BK's recording of Merrily We Roll Along.

Loretta Devine was a wonderful guest star with a good solo number while regular cast member Vondie Curtis Hall had been her co-star in Dreamgirls.

Not a great show by any means, but not terrible and surprisingly topical.

The company announced today that it would now cover all education costs for all employees, full- and part-time. So I'm dreaming of a PhD. But not for another year or more.

I must come work with you
