Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the soul of both brevity and wit, and now it is time for you to post until the brief cows come home.

Isn't there a line somewhere like "Don't dawdle, Alliaceous."

I had some computer problems ordering the L.A. NOW AND THEN CD at first, but it looks like all the glitches were cleared up quickly and my order went through.  After the clips, can't wait to have the CD!

Are we to actually have a warm and clear weekend?

That apparently is what the experts think.

I've never seen DR. T.

I think it's in my Stanley Kramer DVD collection, but I've yet to watch it.

We watched HAIL, CAESAR! last night.

I love the Coen Brothers movies and there is much in this one to enjoy, particularly for film buffs.

Unfortunately, the parts are much better than the whole.

TOD:

I'm not a big fan of "weird" movies.  I prefer a cohesive storyline with strange dream sequences at a minimum.

When I was in college and on a foreign film kick, I saw LAST YEAR AT MARIANBAD.  To me, it looked like the editor took all the individual shots from the film. tossed them up into the air and then pasted them back together as he pulled them out of the pile.  That ended my foreign film kick.

I recorded THE CAMERAMAN with Buster Keaton off of TCM the other day.  I've never seen it.  Maybe we;ll watch it this weekend.

I did not want to get out of bed this morning, but I'm up.  There were quite a few weird dreams last night, the only bit of them I remember is that I was sleeping in my bed in Ohio, and the light on my nightstand had burned out, so I went to retrieve another bulb. I had to cross railroad tracks after I got out of bed and the rocks on the tracks were painful to walk over.

In another I was participating in a folk music concert.  I have no idea why.

Saturday morning greetings!  I have to go to an AAUW board meeting this morning and pack this afternoon.  Tonight is the last Chautauqua, Mary Shelley portrayed by the same woman who brilliantly portrayed Marie Curie on Thursday.  We've seen the same person portray multiple characters, but not in the same year.  Susan Marie Frontczak is amazing!

It was a hectic week, so I'm very glad it's Saturday.  I have a lot to do around here and errands, so it will be hectic Saturday, but it's still better.

I got to the theater by 6:30 a.m. to usher. Sadly, something was wrong with the air system in the theater. The air conditioning was working, but an alarm kept going off. So, for the three and half hours I was there, about three of them were spent listening to this alarm.
