Yes there was a police shooting in that three policemen were shot dead and three others injured by multiple gunmen, one of whom is dead and two of whom are still at large.

I had to turn off the spell check on my tablet and my phone. It was just too annoying.

I agree. I didn't know it could be turned off. I may have to do so. There are a number of changes on the new Macbook which, to me, were just not improvements. Fortunately, I was able to adjust most of them in System Preferences.

My nephew (and DR Kate's son) Matt and his wife Sarah arrived yesterday afternoon. They're on they're way to Charleston, SC. We went for dinner in Old Town Alexandria and walked around.
