In response to George's comment about his new watch:

I charged my phone before I did any thing else. A couple hours later, after activating and registering the phone, the charge had dropped to 60%. I recharged it, and now it seems to be holding the charge.

I'm hoping that that's the case with my watch...that it'll be fine after a full charge directly from a power outlet, and not through a computer using a USB cable.

I am so glad that the reading went well. I wish I had called in sick and just bond to the reading I may as well have for all I accomplished yesterday. In twelve hours I never stopped working and every damn thing I did ended with a phone " remember that emergency you had to drop everything for a rush because it absolutely had to happen today? Never mind"

I would like to see a good production of Chess. I love the concept album. I never had a chance to see the Broadway production as it came and went too quickly but my understanding is that it did not follow the concept album at all.

Vixmom, I thought that two or three times yesterday, and almost said it to DR Elmore a couple of times, that it's too bad you couldn't have taken a day off and been there. I'm sorry to hear the day turned out to be such a freaking disaster on top of it.

After a good day, I had a horrible night. I know you are all sick of hearing about My Left Leg, but there's clearly a problem that my HMO and doctor are not finding. For the last several days, after a day on my feet, my leg becomes recalcitrant to hold my body or to walk. Last night I slept fitfully because the pain was intense. Mt doctor who gave me the hip injection said it would be good for 3-4 months, and this is not the third month yet.

So I lie here in pain worrying about the possibility of degenerative bone disease and other pleasant thoughts.

DR vixmom, I wish you, DRs TCB and Ginny, and all the Hainesies and Kimmlets were at the reading, I'm happy, too, that DJ and I are no longer at odds. My biggest concern about the show was that we were presenting "Son of Hee-Haw," or something that would only amuse evangelical Christians, and the response yesterday removed much of my concerns. I'm looking forward to hearing thoughts from Rob Berman, Peter Foley, and Eric Dietz.
