Good morning. I realized I forgot my camera about halfway to the trail. Saw a coyote and rattlesnake that would have been very photographable.

Spell check does not like "photographable."

Rodgers and Hart didn't have a problem with it.

Or at least with "unphotographable."

Spellcheck has a very limited vocabulary, IMHO.

Great minds -- and ours, DR Jeanne.

Got the tires rotated and the burned out front light replaced. Need to get the oil changed before Saturday. Hopefully car will be ready for the trip.

I've never tried to make matzoh brei other than fried, but I guess you can bake matzoh brei the way French toast is sometimes baked - then that wouldn't add any calories, beyond the base of the eggs and the matzoh.

I don't think it taste all that great, but then I never order it out either.

But no syrup?  No honey?  :)

I like a little raw sugar on mine, unless Keith makes it with caramelized fruit.  Then it is usually sweet enough for me.  He likes maple syrup.

When we headed out for an afternoon walk I was on the cool side.  It warmed up to 72 degrees while we were walking.

The War and Peace miniseries has come in to the library. It looks like my next few days will be taken up with this.

I remember my summer in Middletown, Ohio, I spent one week devouring the book. I would go home from work every day and stay up until I had finished 200 pages or so each evening. It was wonderful. I hope the series is anywhere near that good.

I love the idea of Paul Dano as Pierre, and Elmore's friend, Stephen Rea, is also in the cast.

As usual some idiot on his bike raced passed way too close to us.  It is rarely the same idiot that does this.  A hand raised while talking or if we move slightly over there will be an accident one day.  I don't know why these people can't slow down and move over before passing, and/or call out to us beforehand.

Got a nectarine-plum croustade in the oven. Hope it turns out. Made it with a Pillsbury pie crust.

My sister and I are going to see "Star Trek Beyond" at the local Regal cinemas.

I hope it is good.

It was.  Both my sister and I enjoyed it.  It got an 84% on rottentomatoes.com.  There was a lot of action, but that's to be expected anymore.

Hello from Las Vegas !   I'm sorry I've been E&T.  I promise to be back soon after I catch up but just wanted to mention that I just had dinner with our TCB.  It was wonderful to finally meet him in person.  I posted photographic evidence to Facebook and am hoping that one of my Facebook friends who are tech-savvy will post it here. I'd appreciate it !

House finding vibes for the sister of DR George!

Thanks, Jane!  It turns out that the house she wants has just lowered their price.  Hopefully, no one else is looking at it.

Back -- from an absolutely lovely ZORBA.

It was great to see a lot of people, and the production was wonderful.  I'll return next week (their final weekend) to see it again and perhaps I can be a little bit critical of something or other then, but it's a remarkable achievement.

I would love to see this show.  I've always enjoyed the recordings.

I have two free passes for movies at Regal, so it won't cost us anything, and neither of us gets anything at the concessions, either.

Nice. Hope the movie was fun.

It was.   I might see it again with my friend Margo.  I wouldn't mind seeing it in 3-D, and she doesn't mind that.  My sister doesn't like 3-D.

Made it through the first half of "War and Peace." I guess War is done and I have the Peace part coming up. Ha.

Anyway, it's a trashy soap opera version of the novel. I may have to watch the 9-hour Russian version, which I loved, after this.

It happen almost everyday, sometimes more than once.  I am more likely to yell at them than he is but today Keith was fed up, not that it makes any difference to these people.
