What is sad is that the volunteer ushers from the Senior Center will come and put their HUGE handbags, programs, scarves, water bottles, and sweaters on the top of the case, so many things can't be seen.

DR Jrand65, how long are Putnam's rehearsal periods, in average number of days/weeks? And for plays vs. musicals?

I ask because in following along casually as we do here, it seems like they're shorter than what I'm used to in this here community theater.....community.

Also, special mention for ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN (and its follow-up THE FINAL DAYS). Those newspaper guys knew a thing or two about writing a good true crime story.

That's a really nice display, Jrand. However, did you notice that the OBC CD is upside down? Otherwise, it looks like the only other thing you would need is a picture of the London cast recording of the show. Maybe you could print out the picture from the link and put it in a CD case, even though it's never been released on CD.

HA! Thanks DR GEORGE, I will fix it when I go in tonight.....I hadn't noticed.

DR CHAS SMITH we usually have five weeks for a rehearsal period....and usually four nights per week. We have a stage and a rehearsal space....the next show can't use the rehearsal space when the current show is in production because the space is our green room....so that's a couple of weeks with only two or three days in addition to the five weeks.

So it's five weeks of four days, two weeks with only five days total, and then eight rehearsals on the stage/set. Sometimes we can get an extra week onstage for a complicated show....but we try to start as early as we can in June and try to end before mid-September.....then we have FOUR mainstage productions of 7 performances, 2 weeks of a Youth Theatre Shakespeare Workshop, and one week of a Children's Workshop (both of which work onstage during the day and create havoc for the production trying to get up and going).

Oy! I could easily have scrounged up a display copy of the OBC LP jacket and included it in the package. Sorry I didn't think of it, because it would have been easier to place in there right side up than that tiny little CD jewel case.
