I'd been reading bits and pieces about the new opera, THE EXTERMINATING ANGEL, based on the 1962 Bunuel film.  It had sounded interesting but hadn't exactly lit a fire under my arse until last night when I took a few minutes to read the review in The New Yorker.  Now I want to see it.  The Met will have it ... not this coming season, but the next... I think.

Here's the missing tilde for the above post:   ~

I've had no luck getting alternate language marks, etc., to work properly or consistently on this laptop.

Doctor at 1:45 on Wednesday.

Oh, fer crying out loud.  Well, at least you're on the damned schedule.

That about sums it up.

Being on vacation, and in a different hotel room every night, I had to think twice about what day of the week it is.  Surely Wednesday must be tomorrow  ::)
I hope you are on a cancelation list.

If you're lucky ChasSmith, you can see that and Stephen Sondheim and David Ives' next musical based on the same source at the same time! :D

I found my missing items on a kitchen chair where they had fallen out of the bag.....I am very happy I didn't drive back to the store to look for the "missing items."

And on that note (B-natural), I'm leaving work.  A co-worker and her guitar-playing musical partner (they call themselves "PC and J," she's Jamie, the "J") are performing downtown at a local restaurant (Dillinger's) and I'm going to go see them perform.  It's mostly a bar with (what I consider to be very pretentious) limited food options, so I won't enjoy that part, but the concert will be good.

Then, I'll go home and check out my new computer.  I won't get it all set up right away.  I still have to clean up my computer desk. :P I was going to yesterday, but I didn't.  Oh, well.  I plan on having this new computer for quite a few years, so I'm not in a rush. ;)

Be back later.

She will  be on Jimmy Fallon's show Thursday with Alec Baldwin.  I assume they'll perform the song they recorded for her new CD.
