BK, I'm happy the postmortem went so well.  I know it does little to make up for the aggravation.

In 1990-1991, when i was working on Babes In Toyland with the Houston Grand Opera, I spent too much time in a state of aggravation.  At one point I called Michael Korie who was working on his second commission for HGO.  "Why did you ever accept a second commission from these fools?" I asked him.
"What's upset you>" he asked me.

I started a list of complaints with the HGO powers-that-be, and it was a long list.

When I finished, Michael said, "Well, now you know what to ask for in your next contract."

It's up into the 90s today.  I'm staying in with the AC and working on Act Two.

Today I made the fastest shoe purchase, by far, I have ever made.  I found a comfortable pair of sandals I really, really need since my other pair fell apart.

I am finally up from the most surprisingly bad night of insomnia ever.

I had a slightly upset stomach which accounted for part of it, and that has thankfully settled down.  But boy, do I intend to make up some sleep later.

Thanks, DR CHAS SMITH, DR JANE, DR ELMORE, DR FJL, DR MICHAEL, DR TCB, and thanks to MR BK for the birthday shout out in the notes....

Always appreciated....it's a long, long way from May to December, and the days grow short when you reach September, etc, etc, etc.

I always forget the lyric after September. I guess I'll just start singing etc. over and over again. Maybe it'll help.

TOD:

Dunno. I'll continue with Bobby Short's autobiography and Balzac's The Unfinished Masterpiece.

I think it's:

Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night,
Remember how the stars stole the night away

Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day
