DR ChasSmith, I haven't been past Rookwood for ages.  And I'm sorry to bring back burger memories today of all days.  Vibes to you!

Ha!  No problem.

But that drive I took past it?  That was this past May, the very morning I left Cincinnati and drove up via Middletown to see you and DH Richard.  I had a couple of hours to spare, and very happily spent them retracing some old steps, something I really love doing.

The Erkenbrecherburger sounds like a character in a Mel Brooks movie.

And isn't it fun to say out loud?

Cincinnati is full of wonderful names like that.

Or in some space movie by another guy who was said to be as funny as Mel...  damn...  you know who I mean?

I'm up, I'm up - again.  Went back to sleep at five-thirty, so I guess I got seven hours.

I wish I had found a shirt, hat, or Keychain in Croatia.  It is a beautiful country, at least what we saw of it.

I loved it, too. My sister in Germany vacations there every year. They love the beaches, the sun, the warmth. Of course, the week in August when they took me, it was rainy with highs in the 50s.

The entire trip has been on the hot side with too many tourists.  Croatia was a little more comfortable. Corfu was hot.

I am not a fan of swearing. I take great offense at G D as I do not like the G part. I am fine with damn though I tend to say heck. Keith laughs at that. I am not keen on FU though I have used it, more likely just to say F.....if I use it.

I only curse in certain groups and with certain people. I don't mind hearing it. I just use it judiciously.

Just because it tickles me -- this line from "The Man With Two Brains":

Drunk Test Policeman: Now, juggle these, do a tap dance, and sing the Catalina Magdalena Lupensteiner Wallabeiner song.

One of my favorites. Always makes laugh.

Thinking of you, Elmore, and Guys and Dolls as Chet Baker sings I've Never Been in Love Before in the background.

Topic of the Day:

The word soupçon always makes me giggle.  I don't know why, but it does. :))

As for curse words, I love the malleability of fuck in all its permutations and glories. So handy, so pliable, so exultant and low at the same time. So right. So wrong.

Exactly!  I also like Battlestar Galactica's equivalent, "frak" (or in the original series, "frack").

Jane, you could learn some science fiction swear words, like "frak."

If I had read THIS here, it could only have been written by Elmo.

As it is, it reads like Elmo, on a normal day, so...read it at your own peril.

Of course, I am partial to "Grok" but it's invention wasn't meant as an exclamation of disgust/dismay/disdain.

Frak is good :)

What did they say on Farscape?  I seem to recall a good one on that show.
