Why did the gas go up 30 cents a gallon? It can't be because of Labor Day, can it?

I almost got gas last night, but decided to wait until tonight - I hope it hasn't gone up thirty cents HERE.

Of what I saw of the finalists tonight, I actually agreed with the choices. I'm surprised.

Well, I'm off.  I'm going to my sister's for a bit.  My niece had me buy on eBay three pictures (not autographed) from a movie she likes and they arrived, so I'm going to deliver them.

Be back later.

I have watched the series since it first started, but for some reason, I didn't watch it this season.  I've watched the first couple of episodes on OnDemand.  I want to go through the whole season.  Fortunately, every episode is still available, not just the last few episodes.  Don't worry about posting spoilers, though.  That doesn't bother me. :)

After 20+ days of 90 degrees or higher, it's going to be in the low 80's the next few days in the Nation's Capital.

Good!

No posts for over an hour.  I've had time to go to Gelson's, put gas in the motor car, come home, eat my snacks and then come here to find NO DAMN POSTS.

Is Mercury in Retrograde now an all-year-round thing?  Because every time I turn around it's upon us.

So, gas.  I waited until eight-thirty, figuring all the gasser uppers will be long gone and home with their families.  I went to the station near me, which also is the cheapest at 2.79.  Well, cars waiting in line to gas up at eight-thirty.  I was going to put an F word in there, because that's how stupid it was.  I just don't get it.  So, I drove to my other station just a few blocks away, where gas is six cents more, so no real difference.  There was exactly one pump not occupied and I got it.  But seriously, what are these morons doing?  Is Wednesday night at eight thirty put gas in your car night?  Or did they read yesterday's notes and know I was going to put gas in the car tonight?  Completely and utterly disgusting.

Accuweather.com says it will begin raining here in 3 minutes. We'll see about that.

So, Gelson's deli.  Jammed, but it thinned out quickly save for this moron mom and her two kids.  One was rather nerdy and said and did nothing - him I liked.  The other was just a typical entitled kid of today - in his soccer uniform and asking to sample EVERYTHING.  So, they take fifteen chicken tenders, and a few other things.  Then he has to sample the mashed potatoes.  Then as he's eating that they all walk away so the server comes to me since I'm next.  We're discussing the state of the remaining chicken tenders and there are exactly two that don't look as if they've been sitting there for two days.  I'm about to tell him I'll take them when Kid Mashed Potato comes back, steps right in front of me and orders a small container of mashed potatoes.  The server couldn't believe it and just continued with me, but I told him to give the kid his potatoes.  He gives the kid his potatoes.  But does the kid say thanks and leave?  No, now he has to try the fried potatoes, then the teriyaki chicken wings - the mom and bro come back and she thinks her little darling is soooooooo cute.  Of course, he's blithely unaware that he just butted in front of something and then continued to keep the man who was serving ME serving him.  Finally another server came to me and I got the two chicken tenders.  And they were still there, ordering the teriyaki wings - I mean, it's nine o'clock.  Shouldn't these children be in bed?  But no, she's allowing Hockey Puck to stuff his face with samples and then you know this crap they just got is going to be eaten as soon as they get home.  This is parenting today.
