More entertaining notes.....

Tonight IS the Harvest Full Moon.....so caution in all areas is in order.

I guess I will stay sober tonight.

Friday morning greetings!  In about an hour I'm clearing out of here to meet Becky for lunch.  Fr. Richard's clergy study group meets here today and I've done all I can to help him get ready for them.

I'll let the Freudians interpret it.  I want nothing more to do with it.

Definitely not a dream one wants to remember.

WOW!

Yesterday, I got my quarterly royalty check from BearManor Media, and I was so taken aback that I contacted the publisher to confirm that the amount of the check was correct.  It was.

I am not going to reveal the amount, but the people at BearManor  believe that this is the largest quarterly royalty check that they had ever sent to an author.

I have several books with this publisher, but the vast majority of this check is from my biography, MISS DINAH SHORE, a virtually finished project that, because of a dispute with the original publisher, sat forgotten in my storage space for over 30 years before I re-discovered it a couple of years ago.

DOUBLE WOW!

You'll please excuse me now.  I'm going to the bank.

https://www.amazon.com/Miss-Dinah-Shore-Michael-Druxman/dp/1593938462/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1436102515&sr=1-1&keywords=miss+dinah+shore

Congratulations.

I, too, find Stacked to be an annoying restaurant and I agree that I don't want to have to work that hard. It just takes forever to decide what you want. They're a very popular place and tend to be very busy. It's in the Thousand Oaks Mall with the Cheesecake Factory right across from it, which can also have very long wait times. We tend to just stay away from that area, but now I feel like I should try their salad, which I've never had.

I think having a drink or two is the best way to survive a Harvest Moon!

Say "Hey!" to Richard Sherman for us.

He'll never be stopping by my house, I'm afraid.

The corporate tax season at the tax office is over.  People were still going strong there last night at 9:45 getting returns e-filed by midnight, but I was done for in terms of concentration by 9:30.

I know vixmom works late office hours like those all the time.

I guess it could also be a matter of my not being used to it.

I got an email from the NY Times saying the payment is on its way for writing that parody lyric they had asked me to do to note the end of their ArtsBeat column, which will come in handy since I'm going on a theater trip to Baltimore this weekend, to see a show with my cousin Randi who lives near there.

(Of course, i would have done it for nothing, since I write parody lyrics all the time just to hopefully entertain, but it was great that they offered for that one.)
