I shall soon be on that Happiness Express to Baltimore.  My cousin and I planned this close to a year ago and the year has flown by!

The Happiness Express is known to most riders as the Northeast Regional.

What movies are you showing?

"The Adventures of Priscilla Queen, of the Desert" and "To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar."

That's kind of a drag.

:))

Excellent early morning laugh, TCB!

As most of you heard the great Edward Albee passed away yesterday.

One of the highlights of my educational experience was studying with him for one week. I learned a lot about theater and writing. An unique individual and very different when away form the cameras.

I have to be out of here in an hour to meet my friend Susanna Moross Tarjan for a breakfast date.  She and her husband Peter are here for a wedding in Brooklyn (I think).

When I get back here, I've got work on "Luck, Be A Lady." I am jumping back intro Guys and Dolls and alternating work on that with Moonshine & Mistletoe.

Then, this afternoon, I am meeting Deniz Cordell for coffee.  I do not plan on leaving the apartment tomorrow, which would have been John McGlinn's 63rd birthday.

BK, I'm happy that your internet dilemma was resolved by a Mary Rodgers musical!

Sad news about Edward Albee, although 88's a long life.  I met him once, many years ago at the Drama Book Shop.  He was rather shy, as I recall.

Woke up a bit sniffly and low energy with allergies this morning, so must take steps to improve that.  Just what we needed -- a return of allergies, right?  Like that hasn't been a hallmark of the entire summer.

Saturday morning greetings!  Just checking in to say I'll be E & T all day because I'm taking a gel plate mono printing workshop at our local art center.  I'll be home in time for the second half of Michigan/Colorado - Go, Blue!

RIP Edward Albee.  I remember Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy in A DELICATE BALANCE at Detroit's Fisher Theatre back in the '60s.

Survived LIBERTY VALANCE last night, and this evening should be a most interesting one at the Abbey:  THE FANTASTICKS, with a tribute to Mother Dolores Hart.

I will be giving the complete original cast recording of WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? a spin tomorrow in honor of Mr. Albee.

A remarkable production of THREE TALL WOMEN took place here nearly twenty years ago, something I've never forgotten...and a nice one of SEASCAPE just a few years back.

But I've always felt a lot more of Mr. Albee's output should have been on display in our regional theater community over the past couple of decades.
