Hey, George: Emmy, Oscar, what's the difference? I'll never win either.

I feel your pain.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR ELMORE!!!

Thanks, DR Kerry!  I hope that cake is devil's food.

You know Larry, that cake can be anything that YOU want it to be...because it's YOUR day! :D

Happy Birthday to DR Elmore. Hope you have a great day!

Thank you, DR Jennifer!  I am going to work on some projects and then havbe a wonderful dinner with friends! At 70, that's all the excitement I can take.

That's about all the excitement I can take at 53.

TOD:
I like both red licorice and black licorice, although I guess I prefer red. I don't think I've ever had chocolate licorice. There's a little mom-n-pop store in Carmel, up in Northern California, that sells about 20 different flavors of licorice. (They actually have a town ordinance that forbids any chain stores from moving in there, so all the stores there are mom-n-pop stores. The town retains its quaintness and charm that way.) Anyway, my dad always takes me and my sisters there when we visit and tries to get us to pick out something interesting, but for some reason, none of their flavors have ever enticed us. Instead, I usually get one of their gigantic dark chocolate peanut butter cups.

I don'the remember this store.  Has it been there long?

I like the story that Charmian Carr told in her book about residuals.....

Her sister - Darlene, I think - was one of the singers who recorded the group numbers for the kids for The Sound of Music.

Each time it was on television, Charmian and Darlene got identical checks for their work!

Interesting.

What is the book?

I are sitting at Leslie Schwab, the tire store, in Portland waiting for our car.  Then we can finally go home.  We left the house early today.

What is the book?

Hillbilly Elegy by J. D. Vance.  The author grew up here in Middletown, OH, and the book is causing quite a stir in our community.

Have a great evening DR ELMORE!

Thanks, DR JRand66!  Joshie just emailed me and asked if I was wearing my best shorts.  I assured him I was.  I'm a class act.
