TOD: the last fiction book I read was Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. The last non-fiction is a field guide of Arizona reptiles and amphibians.

I am currently reading "Cat's Cradle" by Kurt Vonnegut.  I'm not sure what I think about it, different for sure.  Has anyone read it?

That doesn't surprise me.  It seemed like something I should read.

I had to read it for 10th grade English class. Don't remember a think about it.

I can't imagine having the book assigned in 10th grade. We were still doing drop drills, as in hide under the desk so you don't see the bomb coming ;D

Maybe it was senior year. I had that teacher for English and Humanities, but I don't remember reading novels for the latter.

I watched the Warner Archive Blu ray of "Silk Stockings".

Stunning!

There is some really terrific dancing in this movie.

Love that movie, especially the dance to Fated to Be Mated

Off rehearsal.  I don't know if the other ASM will be there tonight or not.  He wasn't able to be there last night, so we'll see.  Otherwise, it's all been going fairly well, so far.

Until later.

I am liking season 2 of Republic of Doyle much more than season 1, which got better as it went along.  there are interesting characters who came back for season 2, like Victor Garber as a ego-driven mystery writer like James Patterson.

Watching Chimes at Midnight again. The movie is that good. Some of the best Shakespeare I've ever seen on film. And one of the more horrifying battle scenes.

JB just started screeching and hollering, so I knew something was amiss around his cage. Sure enough, there was a possum checking out the cat's dish for any leftovers. Those are ugly creatures. They can't help being ugly but they are.

I'm partial to Touch of Evil and Citizen Kane, of course, but I have a soft spot for Lady from Shanghai and now Chimes at Midnight.
