These Poldark jokes have me laughing.

When we first see Poldark he is fighting in the Revolutionary War.  When he returns home the economy is in a downturn due to the war and higher taxes and the Poldark aristocratic families are strugling.

46 oz of chicken broth
10 oz can of condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup uncooked rice
2 cups shredded chicken
1/4 cup lemon juice


Mixed the broth and soup in a Dutch oven until well combined
Ad rice, chicken and lemon juice
Bring to a boil occasionally stirring
Reduce to a simmer, cover and cook 15 - 20 minutes until rice us tender, stirring occasionally

The result was a nice thick and delicious soup. 

It sounds very tasty.

I was surprised at how well it came out.  In our old office building the cafeteria was run by an older Greek gentleman who occasionally made Greek lemon chicken soup. To my admittedly unrefined and cold challenged palate it tasted just as good. And it was very easy to make.

After the tech work this afternoon, I got something to eat at McDonald's (I had a buy one, get anything of equal or lesser value for free coupon), then came home and worked on making some props for the show.  I printed the covers and endcards for a Billie Holiday CD and an Ella Fitzgerald CD.  They're just shown, so they don't need to be real CDs.  I also printed some fake music charts for the same play.

But did you ever have a day where you felt you were forcing it, just to get words on the page?  That is what today's writing felt like.
