CD ORDERED!

I haven't seen PARIS WHEN IT SIZZLES all the way through.....but I was always intrigued by by the credit:  Miss Hepburn's Perfume by Hubert de Givenchy.

At least one reviewer commented that is wasn't perfume he was smelling when he saw the movie.....

HA!  I wrote a short review of UNSUNG SHERMAN BROTHERS for Amazon.....

I love the CD - from the first song to the last.  My favorite song is the title song from "The 13 Clocks."

Bravo!!!  If you haven't ordered it - what are you waiting for?

I must make some time to clear off the shelf under my TV, detach the speaker system currently installed and to hook up my new BOSE sound system.

Decluttering continues...

Friday morning greetings!  In about half an hour I'll be on my way to Miami University-Hamilton to meet Becky for a lecture on wedding dresses from the Butler County Historical Museum.  For some reason, neither of our husbands cares to join us...

DR George, whatever is in Reply #4 is keeping this page from fully loading, at least on my iPad.
It isn't interfering with anything, just letting you know.

EDIT:  But it's fine in Firefox/Windows on the laptop.

I hope that the problem with your iPad is just because it's a large image. :-\ But at least it works on your laptop.

I've voted.

My ballot's in the box.

It took a while (four cards, front and back), but I've done it.

My last "California" voting.

Some co-workers and I are awaiting "luncheon" service.

We ordered via Caviar.com off the Fall Surprise Menu.  We're getting four different kinds of barbecued meats with appropriate sides.

I'm starving just thinking about it.

I guess the subject of the lecture doesn't set their hearts aflutter.

TOD:

I did watch the first half hour of the Todd AO version of Oklahoma!

There really is a difference. Looking forward to the rest.

Then Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.

Congratulations to DR RLP on his millstone.  I am looking forward to his experience with the BOSE.

I am also looking forward to his retirement experience.  Will you be buying your own home in N.C. or living with others?

"Paris When it Sizzle" is a beautiful movie to look at and to see the cameos and I'm sure was a great idea when it started.  Unfortunately as much as  I love Audrey Hepburn and some of the cameos and the look of the movie, it really is an awful movie. You can see how drunk William Holden was throughout the entire movie, and I think everyone enjoyed being in Paris and they pieced together what they could. I liked the music though and have ordered the CD-- but not through PayPal.

I wonder if I watched it today I would notice he was drunk.  By then I had become well educated in alcoholics.
