DR TCB, that's great news about rehearsals!  I was going to suggest you invest in a large bucket, but this is so much better.

I often judge a book by its cover and have found some wonderful books that way 😉

I am glad the director apologized. She was likely surprised my the situation and not sure, at first, what to do.

While i was putting all those books away, I put the new Agnes deMille book aside to put in my bag.  Now I have no idea where it is!  I think it and that damned War & Peace DVD set are laughing behind my back.

I do NOT plan on staying that late tonight...or ever again.  It just worked out that way.

The tire was still under warranty, so Costco patched it and put it back on for nothing.

As I feared, the two subsequent volumes of Alwyn film music have that far away washy sound I loathe, and conducting that is just not what it should be, in fact it's just bad - unlike the first volume which has great sound and great conducting and therefore actually sounds like film music.

I think this week, for Halloween, I will watch the complete series of THRILLER with Boris Karloff.  Some of those episodes, like "Pigeons from Hell." still have a mean kick.

And a question for DR Elmore:

Was it you who liked the pumpkin raisin cookies I brought down a couple of years ago?  How about Ben and Anthony?  Just had some, and I think they're particularly good this year.  I'll be stocking up on extras so let me know how many cartons I should bring down when I'm back from Ohio.

The day has been cold, dark and rainy.

If I were to write about this day, I wonder if anyone would mind if it started out as "It was a dark and rainy night..."?

I cannot remember a Halloween season in which so much "pumpkin spice" stuff was made available.

EVERYTHING seems to be available in pumpkin spice, including coffee.

To all of it, I say "YUCK".

Photobucket was down all day yesterday, and I am unable to get into it today.

Sigh.
