Wednesday morning greetings!  Today we're going to visit James and Dolley Madison at Montpelier, which is on the way to Richmond.  That's where Richard's clergy meeting starts with a reception this evening.

Thanks to everyone who's sent travel vibes!  In addition to all the HHW traveling, there's a lot going on among our family and Middletown friends.  My sister and her husband are on their way to Florida, their daughter from Illinois is meeting them there, and Brian and Margie are touring NE Ohio.

Continued travel vibes for DR Jane & Keith and for DR ChasSmith!

My back is out of whack.  I may spend a bit of the morning lying on a heating pad.

I had a really strange dream: I was in church - I was in a pool - I was in a church - I was in a pool with a number of my deceased relatives.  We all had those savings club brochures my mother used in the 1950s for Christmas  saving.

I've filled out most of the forms for tomorrow's meeting with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.  I don't understand a couple of them, but we'll see how it goes.

I've been doing last minute chores since 7:30 in the a.m. and decided it's time for a coffee and bagel break.

I want to be out of here by 2:00 p.m. so I can get to Harrisburg, Bedford, or even as far as New Stanton, PA for the night.  That should be doable.  Tomorrow is definitely all rain, everywhere on the route, so I'll only have something like six hours -- and all day to do it in -- to drive through it.

Sitting here like so much fish listening to some William Walton music.  This is three Williams in a row - Alwyn, Walton, and Wordsworth.

And look at all the damned W's!  W's in every first and last name.  W's everywhere!

I think there should be a BIG W to mark the spot on the shelf where all of these go!

DR ELMORE the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream indicates you don't want to be overwhelmed by the holidays this year, but that they are already closing in on you.  Stay light and do not feel compelled  to celebrate except how and with whom you choose.

I've filled out the forms for VLA that I have answers for, I've looked at "Luck Be A Lady" briefly, and I've finished four pages of a score involved with the Big Announcement.  I'm still waiting on the release to announce it.

T.O.D.

What is your very favorite classical piece of music?

When I was going to Western Washington University, we did Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana."  I love that whole score.  I've listened to several versions over the years, but one of the first I listened to way back when was the James Levine/June Anderson version.  It's also become my absolute favorite.  It was the very first CD that I ever owned...and I got it four years before I actually owned a CD player! ;D I had friends who made and audiotape copy for me.

Because I have Amazon Prime, I was able to stream and listen to this whole version for free just a couple of days ago.
