But now, all I want to do is think about album covers. On the 20th Century was a particular favorite.

They are now tearing down the house next door to the house in back of me - so after enduring that horse crap for four months, we all get to endure it again - brilliant.  There ought to be a law.  The monstrosity they built in back of me sits unsold for the past six weeks.  And I hope it remains unsold forever and I hope the same happens with whatever monstrosity they put up next to it.  This is all ONE speculator paying people outrageous money for their homes so they can tear down and decimate this once wonderful and charming neighborhood, which they will then abandon.

That's terrible! >:(

I like that one, too.

Just heard a little of Herbert's Eileen. What a great recording, Elmore.

Thanks!  I'm rather proud of it.  Nice cover, too, I think.  Ol' Victor up in the right hand corner!

Have gone through iTunes, cleaning up all this junk I've had on there forever - all the rough recordings of all the songs I've written for the last decade - who needs all that crap.  Plus stuff I never listen to that I've uploaded at some point - over 1000 tracks I got rid of.

Listened to the amazing Ravel Valses Nobles and Sentimental.  Whatever performance I uploaded isn't very well conducted.  I have some long ago memory of loving a performance by Charles Munch - have to go see if that's available somewhere or even if I have it.

DR Elmore, we have to be in Centerville by 3pm Saturday for Richard's ukulele lesson and we'll be home after he's finished.

Is he going to do a guest shot in the Wright State NO NO NANETTE?

No, but his teacher has been coaching the cast for the big ukulele number.  We're going to see the show on Richard's birthday.

Well, I must be off.  I'm working concessions tonight for Ben Folds and A Piano!  I more than likely won't get to see the ENTIRE concert because we have to put things away when the show starts, then clean up after the intermission, but I'll get to see most of it and hear all of it. :)

Be back later!

Terrible wifi here at this otherwise lovely Days Inn (been here before and definitely like it).

So... in one post:

Horrible news, BK.  These people need something ugly visited upon them, and soon.

Charles Munch recordings were always great in my book.

Oh hell.  There was more, but I forget...
