I think it's the Aleve PM, but I am really having weird dreams.  I dreamed that Joshie was orchestrating The King & I, and his dog was helping him.

I'm heading over to Poughkeepsie in a while, to take some photos of the gravestones of several of my dad's side of the family who lived in Brooklyn in the early 20th century.

I'll also stop in at the nice Barnes and Noble there to see what damage I can do in the Criterion department.

TOD:

Been hardly anything for more than a week, what with travel and general busy-ness.  Except for Halloween night when a friend came over and we watched IT FOLLOWS which I rather unabashedly love now.

Tonight, however, will be spent watching something good.

Maybe you were having hallucinations about that animated KING AND I film from several years back?

Home from the doctor.  I've lost 4 lbs but my sugar levels are high.  Too many pumpkin raisin cookies!  I'm going back into physical therapy to see if they can help my leg.

Friday morning greetings!  Richard and I are about to go downtown to our former (Methodist) church to hear the Miami University Men's Glee Club perform a "First Friday" concert.

I love how Tim Gunn told the "Project Runway" judges last night that Cornelius had been caught between "two mean girls".

Those "mean girls" were Erin and Dexter!

Back from a haircut.  I may have to have a sandwich or something to tide me over - I don't think I can do what I have to do and not eat until eight-thirty.

DR George, I'm happy you liked Once.  I wish all of the morons who are adapting popular movies to mediocre musicals showed the same imagination of the Once creators in rethinking the material instead of trying to redo the film onstage.

I know!  The audience gave the show a standing O.  I've seen standing ovations for a lot of individual performers or musical groups, but not a lot of scripted shows.  This one really deserved it. :)

I've accomplished a lot today but I've done nothing on the choral piece.  As soon as I tidy the kitchen I'm getting to it.

Got to go foraging for herbs today. Found wild fennel, oregano, sage and a couple of types of mint. Lavender is growing at the resort, and everything seems to be on the verge of a second spring. Lots of things flowering.
