Addendum to the Topic of the Day:  on my Kindle:  I'm reading "Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad.  It's the story that inspired the movie, "Apocalypse Now," which I've never seen.

After which, I'll be "fed up".

Went and had a chopped Eyetalian salad with some ham and avocado in it, and no bagel - so really only about three hundred calories since I dressed it only in red wine vinegar.

Button up your overcoat
When the wind is free
Take good care of yourself
You belong to me

Eat an apple every day
Get to bed by three
Oh, take good care of yourself
You belong to me

Be careful crossing streets, ooh, ooh
Cut out sweets, ooh, ooh
Lay off meat, ooh, ooh
You'll get a pain and ruin your tum-tum

Wear your flannel underwear
When you climb a tree
Oh, take good care of yourself
You belong to me

In the immortal words of Cary Grant:

Did I remember to tell you you're delightful
You're everything I want you to be
Your eyes are lovely and far beyond comparing,
Especially when they're glaring at me!

I can't make up words to say how swell you are
But I can tell you are, I know so well you are
I started falling, the moment that I saw you
Believe me I adore you Cherie!

Apparently, Chris Christie has been found "guilty" in the bridgegate scandal.

I had BBQ'd brisket and ribs with potato salad and collard greens.

I had pork souvlaki with fried potatoes, a Greek salad and dolmas.

Jane is also asleep (I hope).

I was thank you.  I barely read before I fell asleep.  I only woke up once during the night.

Today we met our new primary physicians.  We are both pleased and it was convenient having appointments at the same time.

After our appointments we went to Costco.  Fortunately they had a few things for me to sample since I had fasted in preparation for blood work, which was ordered.

I had  snack after we came home then we took a nice walk on this lovely autumn day.

Home from the doctor.  I've lost 4 lbs but my sugar levels are high.  Too many pumpkin raisin cookies!  I'm going back into physical therapy to see if they can help my leg.

I think it is good to know what your sugar levels are when you aren't being good.  It is a reminded to be.  Do you have a kit to keep track of your own levels on a daily basis?

My new doctor offered to order PT for my knee and I forgot to get her to do so.

I went to a pre-retirement seminar yesterday.

Very enlightening.

VERY encouraging.

nice DR JANE.

I also have a new doctor, but I haven't met him yet.

I hope you are pleased.  I asked if I need to go to the hospital which one she uses.  She said I could pick as most doctors don't see their patients in the hospital anymore.  There is hospital staff for that.  I knew this was true but it is still bothersome to hear it.

A co-worker of mine listened to the downloadable talking book and looked it up.  He's the one that told me about it and the inspiration.  I found that the downloadable Kindle e-book was available through our OverDrive site, and got it.
