Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland at Sterling's 72, and now it is time for you to post until the 72 cows come home.

Dracula at Tacoma Little Theatre yesterday was very good.  It's pretty much the story that everyone knows, but it was really well done, and the house was pretty full. They had a simple set that was used effectively.

Ditto to all of these!  I'll also add "All Those Christmas Clichés" by Lynne Ahrens and Stephen Flahery, especially the first recording by Lainie Kazan.

I don't know that song.

It's from Cabaret Noel - A Broadway Cares Christmas.  Another favorite track is "Wishing You A Drag Queen Christmas," sung by B.D. Wong.:D

72 is four time "Chai" -  or 4 times 18 - which is good luck all around.

And I've always wondered:

How "Baby, It's Cold Outside" has become a Christmas song?

Another fav

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas  which has three versions out there. The Judy Garland film version, The Frank Sinatra version and Hugh Martin's religious rewrite.

I have a quite a few recordings of it and two (Dorothy Loudon and Linda Eder) sing a verse that is rarely used:

Christmas future is far away
Chrtismas past is past
Christmas present is here today bring joy that will last

and has anyone ever recorded the original depressing lyrics?

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
It may be your last
Next year we may all be living in the past
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Pop that champagne cork
Next year we may all be living in New York.

I'm quite embarrassed that I missed the fact completely that the Kritzerland show was last night.  BK was running from this rehearsal to that, and I missed wishing the show well.  I will blame my pre-election jitters.

Today, I am meeting my friend Steve Young for lunch.  Steve was an undergrad when I was a grad student.  When he came to the Moonshine & Mistletoe reading in August, it was the first time I'd seen him in 42 years. So, around 10, I'll go to Staples and photocopy some blank music sheets, then hop a bus for 28th Street.
