So glad to hear that The Brain went well. I really enjoyed the show when I saw it ten years ago.

Mission accomplished.  On my way out the workers gave me this sticker.  I stole Rob Berman's photo,

Got on the voting line at 5:50, the polls were ready for us by about 6:05.  The line looked twisted around and horrendous, but in the voting area, it went very efficinently and to my surprise, I'm pretty sure we were done voting by 6:20.

Time to shower and get out to vote.  I held off to avoid the early morning before-work crowds.  Of course I have no idea how effective that really is.  Fortunately, my polling place is closer than it used to be, at a school just over a mile down the road.

Today may be Election Day, but it is also the birthday of Bram Stoker, author of DRACULA.

The fact that both events are falling on the same day is pure coincidence and I'm almost sure that the one event does not foreshadow in a negative way the other.  (Fingers crossed)

However, Stoker's birthday does give me a perfect opportunity to plug my book, DRACULA MEETS JACK THE RIPPER & Other Revisionist Histories.

I'm very proud of this volume of short stories, and if you haven't read it yet, it is available on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle editions, as well as an audio version, brilliantly read by Fred Frees.

"The Brain from Planet X" was wonderful last night! It was just as funny as I remembered it, and yes, the audience roared for much of it (including Richard Sherman who was sitting behind me). Poor Mark, is the shyest man on the planet and really can't stand to have anyone looking at him or talking to him, so he was absolutely the worst person to be pulled up on stage for the brain tap, but he was a huge sport. When asked, "What's the Earth's greatest achievement?" he answered with "This show." And when asked where he went to college, he answered "LACC". He never went to LACC, but that's just how fast and clever a thinker he is. Anyway, the cast was wonderful - it was so nice to hear and see Alet Taylor again after so many years. And of the three General Mills I've seen, this General Mills was my favorite. The whole show was a grand success.

Tuesday morning greetings!

Thank you to DRs Jane, Elmore, ChasSmith, Vixmom, George, JRand, and FJL for the tummy vibes.  Better today, but still a little shaky.

I have some things to deliver to the AAUW Holiday Bazaar venue and then I'm coming home to make caramel corn to sell at that event Friday and Saturday.  Having voted on October 20, it seems odd not going to the polls today.

Congratulations to BK and the Brain company!  DR Amy and I now have something in common - we're both married to men who've been "Brain-tapped."  Several nights after we saw The Brain in NYC, we were waiting to go in to see The Last Starfighter and someone recognized Richard from his moment in the spotlight.

Got to go swimming in the Mediterranean today for the first time since high school. What fun. The water was cold but it felt good after a while.

I wasn't buying it st first but a friend from Switzerland, Manuela, kept telling me it was okay.

Manuela: It's refreshing!

Me: Gin is refreshing. This is just cold.
