My first 2016 holiday caramel corn is in the oven and the aroma is driving the upstairs Palmers crazy.  Mary Linda is telecommuting today and Rob has the day off.  They went to vote about an hour ago.

Is your stomach well enough today to taste it?

I've tried a bit, but remember I have 3 other tasters on hand.  They all approve!

Well, let's hope that the elections go off without much (if any) more controversy.

And on that note (E-flat), I'm leaving work now to go to a Theater Artists Olympia board meeting.  I don't have to be at rehearsals tonight, so I'll come home, watch some TV, and probably work on my lines...which I really need to do. ::)

Be back later!

It was a glorious day.  I was comfortable walking in jeans, a t-shirt, and only for awhile a sweatshirt.  Fortunately I was able to go for a short 45 minute walk this morning on this beautiful day, and again for a long walk in the afternoon.  In-between we met a friend in Portland for lunch.

All I'm gonna say is that everything you're seeing is controlled by an out-of-control media who want to cause everyone to panic to keep those ratings high.  It will be what it will be, but they will not allow this to be called until they wring the last ounce of ratings blood from it.

Me, I'd just like to get another 20 pages or so of the latest volume of Proust read. That way I'd be a tenth of the way into it. That's usually a good start for me on a book.

This one is 600 pages long.

Is this The Guermantes Way?

I'd better get back into it, because after I finally got through that volume I put it down "for a while"... um, several years ago.

It is.
