I hope so, too, DR Jeanne, but I think we can be pretty sure that he/she has a ton of stolen cards as backup.

Sadly, true. :-\

Can some kind Angeleno, past or present, remind me of where the Old World restaurants were located?

Everyone remembers the one at Sunset Strip and Holloway, but there was at least one other, in Westwood or Beverly Hills or --?  I can "almost" see one of these locations, but ... not quite ... and I can't find diddley on any of them.

what made you think of the Old World restaurants? I wish they were still around.

Thanks, DR Jeanne.  As soon as I asked that I found an address:  216 N. Beverly Drive in the Hills of Beverly!
But I'm still thinking Westwood, too..

As to what made me think of it, nothing in particular.  Just caught it in a chain of thought.

But, thank goodness, their website has it still continuing next week...

That's all fine and good for YOU, but it's not playing anywhere around here!  When is it coming out on DVD??  That's what I wanna know!

Me, too!

I can't watch a movie with subtitles and write Christmas cards at the same time.

So, after half hour of the superb Le Silence de la Mer (excellent score to bring back the TOD), I put on It Happened in Brooklyn. Meh.

Guess it's a night for meh musicals. I now have A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court on. I won't finish it tonight, either.

The rehearsal was fun but I could have used another ten minutes to work on Sami's solo, but she'll be calling in a bit to chat about the song and how to approach it and its many levels.

Thankfully, what should have been a nightmare ride home at six with rush hour traffic, surprisingly wasn't - it was slow but always moving and I was home in twenty-five minutes.

After the rehearsal, Sami's mom and I dined at Maria's kitchen - I had a tiny side Caesar salad and delicious penne with sausage and peppers - really filling but really good and my only meal o' the day.

I'd gotten a screener prior to leaving, for Jackie.  But when I got home there were three more waiting for me and I opted to watch something called Nocturnal Animals, a very strange film but one I kind of enjoyed.
