I'm up, I'm up - maybe six hours of sleep, maybe less - had trouble falling asleep due to overcrowded brain.

Were I not doing this event tonight, I still wouldn't watch Hairspray Live - they overdone and endless hype is must relentless and off-putting.

I can't see how it can be any good - what with the endless breaks for commercials and the.....casting.....but I have only seen the musical movie, I have never seen the stage version, so I may watch for awhile to see what it's all about....

FOX's "Rocky Horror Show" was one of the worst things ever....

Thanks DR John.  I hope it is warm in San Antonio when we are there.  It is too cold here.

Back from picking something up, banking, and picking up a couple of packages.  I went on a bit of an early birthday binge last night on Amazon - got three more Sibelius complete symphony cycles - I'm just loving going through these symphonies and am still looking for my favorite - I do like the three Ormandy performances from the 60s, and I like the Bernstein, NY Phil cycle and also the more recent Paavo Berglund has nice things in it.  One of the sets I bought last night is actually on Blu-ray, so that will be a whole different experience.

I worked on "Go Into Your Dance" a bit, and my super stopped by to visit for a second.  we had police in the building this morning to check on the 75+ year-old neighbor across from me.  My super tells me the obnoxious neighbor above me has moved out.  What good news!  She was making a ton of noise several days ago between 11:00p and 1:00am so I'm happy she's out.  We'll see who shows up next.

There have also been a lot of emails today about recording Moonshine and Mistletoe in early 2017. Everyone has a different opinion on what to record,

Happy birthday, Jane!

Thanks DR John.  I hope it is warm in San Antonio when we are there.  It is too cold here.

It's in the 40s and 50s most days. A few occasionally in the 60s.

Well, this morning did not start well.  I forgot that I had to attend a training this morning, so I dilly-dallied in my morning ablutions.  I would've been on time anyway EXCEPT that when I went to my car, the emergency brake was frozen on!  I set my brake (it's a habit) and I forgot that when it gets cold, I need to remember to not set my emergency brake (it's the first really cold spell of the season, so I forgot).

I got a text from one of my staff asking if I was in the building (I wasn't) and I explained that I was going to be late and would have to walk.  I walked quickly in the VERY cold morning air.  Fortunately, it was kind of warming up, so I didn't totally freeze.  I was only about 20 minutes late to the training, which I've taken before.  Not much new to worry about.  Now I'll walk to lunch (there are a couple of places very close) and then I'll walk the rest of the way home to get my car, then drive back to work.  Fortunately, too, I live close enough to walk...which I should be doing anyway. ::)

I have to take the car to the car place this afternoon because it seems time to replace the starter and/or its wires.  These are not expensive items, except for the ridiculous labor charges for however long the book says it takes.

One of the reasons I was willing to sell my old car before we moved here was that the labor cost to replace a 10 cent item was over a $1,000.  I couldn't have the oil dripping here.

Yikes! :o That's ridiculous.

Hey kids,

HAIRSPRAY "Live" tonight.  NBC.

That's where I'll be...right in front of my TV watching it.  I'm not impressed at all by the less than 10 second clip of Ariana Grande as Penny.  Her delivery was just wrong for that moment in "You Can't Stop the Beat."  I'm looking forward to most of the rest of the cast, though.
