DR George have you been able to try your new umbrella?

I haven't received it yet.  According to my account, "Items [are] being prepared by supplier." :-\

Hmmm, I hope they send it to you in good condition.

That's a pretty greeting DR JANE.

Vibes that your medicine works for you!

Thank you.

And thank you.  Actually I am hoping I can get off of it ;)  Before using the inhaler today I am waiting to see if the ice melts enough for us to walk.

It's supposed to be brand new, not a "used - like new" item at all.

I know, but I am wondering about that "supplier" unless you mean the company that makes them.

Not that appearing in MRBB was ALL bad.....there were some fun folks in the show.....

And one weekend William (Blacula) Marshall was in town, and the rumor was that he was going to come to to show.

I was sitting backstage in the dressing room during the second act....

The dressing room (only one for all of us in those days) with a curtain at the opening rather than a door.  The curtain was suddenly flung aside and there stood....Blacula!  He said "Where's the restroom?"

I didn't feel I should tell him he needed to go back through the theatre and across the lobby....so I directed him to the cast restroom...he was in there a few minutes, came out, said "Thank you" and exited......

Yes.  I bought it from a website, www.touchofmodern.com (you have to create an account to even see what's on the website), that sells only new high-end items at up to 70% off, but they're only available for five days.  After that, the deal ends and it may or may not ever show up on their site again.  The umbrellas that I bought are brand new and being sold through www.touchofmodern.com and they get the items from the manufacturers. :)

Speaking of MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM and FENCES - have I noted yet in 2016 that August Wilson's real first name was Freddie?

Great stories of MRBB. I was a fan of Blacula way back in the day (a Bright Star reference), but it has been so long since I've seen any of those movies that I have no memory for them.

Druxy, did you see the streaming live concert that Elmore went to a couple of days ago?  I was able to capture the saved broadcast afterward and made a DVD of it. :)

"Blacula" was on TCM earlier this year, and I actually recorded it and made a DVD of it! ;D

Thanks!  I'll ALWAYS need an umbrella.  I have three now, but this was interesting and fun enough that I decided to get it just for fun.

DR FJL - yes Fred Wilson......I think MRBB is my favorite of his plays, although I like most of them.....

LOL DR JOHN G - I had seen the movie on TV about a month before, so it was a bit of shock to me....but funny in retrospect.

Back from a nice lunch (chicken strips, a few fries - very few - and a little side salad), and picking up a couple of packages that didn't include the four CDs that are "out for delivery" via USPS, who was already there and delivered one package.  It is not in their nature to return, so I'm on the phone with Amazon finding out what's what because this is happening way too often.
