The cast of No Pay, Nudity is amazing. Donna Murphy, Nathan Lane, Ellen Foley and a host of theater favorites. I hadn't heard of it. Now I really want to see it.

Me, too.  I love Lee.  He's from the Dayton OH area.

Always Seymour to me. I know that's sad, especially when he's done so much, including Assassins. But I see that name and I think Suddenly Seymour.

Me, too!

I'm home from my parents' house and will be home for probably the rest of the weekend.  I don't want to go anywhere, not even the movies. :D

Too cold?

Well, the party was a bust. Only two people other than the Minister and Mrs. Minister showed up.

Oh my.

However, we went to Beaches tonight.  I am feeling much better after a Margarita, edame, a small Beach House Salad with mixed greens, candied cashews, jicama, sesame seeds, grilled salmon, asian honey mustard dressing and a side of their fantastic french fries.

I usually feel better after a margarita, too.

I'm listening to Pierre Monteux's wonderful RCA recording of Petrouchka.  He knows the piece really well; he conducted the premiere in 1911.

1911??  When was that recording recorded?

DR George I am pleased you liked PASSENGERS, and that it wasn't mindless.  I look forward to seeing it.

I really think you'll enjoy it.  At least, I hope you do. :)

I had never seen Saturday Night Fever either until five years ago on New Year's Eve when I ended up in the hospital with some dangerously painful kidney stones.

It is a framed photo of the entire cast of the film IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, with Mr. Potter front and center in the shot.

That is a sweet gift.

My cherpumple layers are cooling. My soup is in the fridge. I've set the bowls and spoons and such as out for the party tonight.

We'll require pics of your cherpumple - both in its entirety and with a slice cut out of it.

That's beautiful.

Enjoying the last of the Ansermet Sibelius - the tone poem Tapiola, and the wonderful fourth symphony.

I read that as Tapioca. I can't imagine Sibelius doing the dance from Thoroughly Modern Millie.

I also can't imagine Sibelius writing any lambada music.

We shoot fireworks out of our Space Needle.

That would be nice to see, if it wasn't so darn cold.

KING 5 (Seattle's NBC affiliate) broadcasts "N.Y.E. at the Needle."  I set my DVR to record that.

I have the rebroadcast of Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper on the TV, but the sound is down while I'm ketchuping on the notes.  I recorded the live broadcast, so I'll watch it later.

Had a nice long hot shower and feel very relaxed and in an hour I'll do my New Year's Eve thing.  Listening to an ballet called Les Facheux by Georges Auric - it's delightful, like all his music.

At the moment, the Time-Warner Cable news is interviewing my old friend Lee Wilkof about his new film No Pay, Nudity, which sounds quite lovely,

I saw that on Amazon.  It's available on DVD and Blu-ray.  I aded it to my wishlist. :)

Thanks for that, George. It's now on my wishlist, too.

There is a THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT marathon on TCM that I am watching.  It's nice to see some real singers and dancers.....but it's hard to see some of the numbers heavily edited and ripped from their context.

I'm recording these, including "That's Dancing," which plays after them.

Watching a Brokenwood mystery set at an amateur theatrical troupe. Very sharp and pointed. Cyanide in the stage blood.
